Can anyone explain why only the first volley of V crusher Missiles only make contact on the surface of a Capital Ship while the next volleys go right through the hull? Like there is a non-collision program to stop missiles

Oh dam. Craft Missiles actually crafts missiles even if you have MoreMissileMod installed and you have 1350 V Crushers (max for this mod) on board. And there is no way you even could use crafted missiles in anyway (sell or fire) if MoreMissilesMod is installed. Vanilla Code for Vanilla Missiles is incompatible with MoreMissilesMod and weapon cycles will be removed if those vanilla missile texts are added to weapon cycle manually. This test was 100% pure test and needed save game file edit to proof it. In the game materials only disappear without real action.

If you have installed MoreMissilesMod, *do not use this*.

That's why I said that this Mod is not compatible with MoreMissilesMod {LINK REMOVED}. And refund issue may or may not be related only this mod. As I said I will recheck it in next 48 hours.

You can't have that many missiles in a vanilla game. I suspect, that your issue is related to another mod as the material refund works fine for me.

If you have 1350 (or something like that) missiles and you cannot buy more missiles or gather them from space. Then if you try to craft missile, materials for crafting disappear but there is no additional missiles in the storage. It looks like I have to re-install Mod and try again. But when I tested this it happend like i described (even I could not use the crafted missiles cause of MoreMissilesMod). Now I know how to fix MoreMissilesMod bug to save game file to make those vanilla missiles function so I may retest this.

Incompatibile with MoreMissilesMod. It looks like it craft a missile, but nothing happend.

As you can get much more money by buying scrap metal and selling metal alloys, I think this is not a big issue.

As for balance, I think you could at least triple the materiel costs. The materiel as is costs about 6000, and you can sell tristars for 27000. Thats a large margin. Making it cheaper to make your own makes sense, but that's a bit much. The rest should be balanced output wise from there.

Also, I can't seem to get constrictor missiles. I can craft them, but they don't get added to my inventory. Any other missiles I've crafted worked normaly.

Is it possible to change the output of each missile. eg. same recipie churns out 10 v crushers, but only one nova drone? with the rest being somewhere in between?

1 - not possible
2 (@kalnedrilith) this would be possible but I lack the ingredients for this as most sensible ingredients are already used in other mods (and then 1 comes into play again)

I could triple(?) the amount of ingredients used and give you 1 novadrone for it (or 4 V crushers or 2 Astrobees or 3....)

so, probably not exactly what firegun seems to mean, but the complexity thing... have it so that you start with a base missile and add other ingredients to it to improve the missile to something else...

i may be forgetting what missile is what, but start with a light dumbfire missile, and you can upgrade it to the medium and then heavy dumbfire missile... start with a basic seeker missile, and either split 10 of them into 2 sets of swarm, or 10 of them into 10 larger seeker missiles... this way each recipe can continue to use only one quantity for each recipe, but still provide the ability to increase the cost associated with a more powerful missile...

an example might require that you first build a lot of v-crushers, then convert 10 v-crushers with a chunk of explosive into the next higher dumbfire missile.. making the missiles + the other ingreedients cost more... you'd be able to build each missile type, but only by doing so one step at a time...

I think this is a bit unbalanced for sure, one cannot buy a novadrone missile for same price as a V crusher. I didn`t fully understood your affirmation on the ingredients and multiple recipes, so I may suggest something impossible, forgive me if I do. I can suggest two approachs:

1 - Having same ingredients for all missiles, varing the quantity according to the average price diff we see on NPC stations for the diff kinds of missiles.

2 - Start simple end complex, the base recipe is the same, add some ingredients for expensive missiles (xenon components for novadrones, for instance)

Either could work, a mixture of then, or something else you can think.... but, great work! ;)

I dont think so, i mean with the benefits of resupplying missle stocks anywhere, and the items needed for crafting not being hard at all really to acquire, i'd say its a good balance.

btw I used the same recipe for all missiles because one cannot use one ingredient with a different amount in another recipe. Downside is, a novadrone costs as much as V Crusher! Is this too unbalanced?
