No, I'm no longer working on mods for Banished, but this mod is only here for people who had already started a game with this specific version. I would suggest you try using the newer version, Mountain-less Mines 2, linked in the description above. If you still can't integrate it into an existing save then you will need to use the mod from the start in a new game.
I'm reading the comments below, and people seem to have been able to load this mod in to existing saves.
I've tried to do what's been said, but still get an error.
So, what I do is;
Start game > Load mod (Game reloads)
Restarts game
Load save
Goes in to save, and loads the mod
Game reloads, and crashes.
Am I doing anything wrong? or is there any fix?
Cheers :)
Great to hear, I'm glad you didn't have to lose you saves! Thank you very much, its great that you like the mod and I hope you continue to enjoy!
Thanks for the help! Your mod is a must-have in my book for enjoying banished to its full potential, especially with flat terrain turned on.
Alright, I re-updated this mod with the old version, please let me know if that works! It cleared the error for my saves, so lets hope! I will release the intended update as a new mod momentarily.
No joy on this end. I moved it to the top, applied, exited completely, restarted and loaded only to have a fatal error again. I did the same but moved the mod to the #2 position with the same error and then again after moving it to another position. So, three tries and all with the same fatal error. Everytime it happens immediately on loading the saved game.
I see, lets try something first, if it does not work I will release another version of the mod without any of the changes I just made... Should work in theory. First though, try opening banished and putting my mod at the top of the list of mods(if its already there try moving it elsewhere, the idea is to just get it to refresh). Apply these changes, but dont play Banished, exit the game and then relaunch it. It will still give you the warning, my games have it as well, but they should all load fine. Let me know!
This isn't a complaint! I know stuff happens. But I'd love to keep that previous game if I can. Is there anyway to revert to the previous version? I've never had this happen before so am in new territory.
Your saved games should still work, however they may not gain the remove-able functionality on the mine.
No problem, glad that worked!
@Lord
What makes you think that sir? Semi-rude sarcasm aside, my mod now allows you to remove the mine in its entirety. Just ask nicely next time! This should not affect compatibility at all, for those wondering.
Put it above CC and apply the changes, then exit banished completley and restart it and see if that helps.
it wasn't working at first so i thought that it wasn't for CC or it was bugged
so thanks
No, this is still the same default mine so it cannot be destroyed, this also means that is does not have unlimited resources. However, my mod is compatible with the unlimited mines and quarries mod(I use this mod myself alongside it) and it should be compatible with just about any other mod that changes the mine.
@Edgar Allen Bro
There is no need for one, this mod works with CC or without it.
Is the mine deconstructable after it's depleted?
Or is it unlimited resource?
I like the idea, or at least a much smaller quarry that produces the same, but I am not a 3d modeler and the origional quarry obviously wouldnt work for this,,, My mods mostly focus on altering existing gameplay elements, but I will think about it regardless.
@Arkin
For the same reason I gave I Saw A Bear, I chose to use the vanilla model. Although indeed, the idea of a Mountain-less mine is a bit ironic when your villagers just build a mountain for it... Functional, not logical.
@Ricenmoo
CC has upgradeable mines right? I'm not sure if anything was changed about the default mine's behaviour or not, so I am not sure... I will look into it and see if it needs its own version or not, or if I can change this one to work alongside it seamlessly with or without CC.
