I have tried some testing of a giant tree. The game doesn't handle it too well. When u paint them in the map editor, it places all trees wih the same distance between them. So in this case they are standing too close together. Could be overcome with hand plopping them. Also we can't change the LOD distance. Which meens that the tree shows the "ugly" LOD version until it practilcally already fills the whole screen. It would be posible to override the LOD with the full model. Which would impact performance of the game negativly. But maybe not too badly...
I might do it for the challange ;) We'll see.

Cool I'm looking for someone to make some big tall trees like redwoods or giant sequoia is that possible?
