Revive someone pls!
ChozoSR388 15 Oct, 2024 @ 2:51am
Update, please! Or let someone else become caretaker of the mod.
Nyxborne 12 Oct, 2024 @ 10:13am
please revive this!
Vokun Vulon 3 Jun, 2023 @ 6:59am
This needs to be revived so badly!!
vooomm123 18 May, 2023 @ 11:27pm
I really Enjoy mods of the more realistic survival. i want my hyper realistic space minecraft! well done dev
DieDae 6 Apr, 2022 @ 3:39pm
There is a new section added I think for the different suit type so you have to copy over the new stuff and change the hydrogen use accordingly from what I remember but it's been a couple years.
cpt.kerney 6 Apr, 2022 @ 3:01pm
Does anyone know of a good substitute for this mod or how to fix it?
DieDae 23 Jan, 2022 @ 6:08pm
@khorne Flake the last update was in 2017 what did you expect?
Anime pfp = bullied in school 23 Jan, 2022 @ 5:56am
This mod breaks jetpacks in current version as of jan 2022.. don't install
merath 6 Nov, 2020 @ 5:20am
ok think i can finly get the mod to load guna tyry the two any advice of what to chek for
merath 4 Nov, 2020 @ 7:29pm
i rather like the idea of both right now the new so bad i cant raelly play at all but i was using most top survivla chaleng mod such a all scrp or the daly needs or earo dynamiks and ajet pack nerf for plants i like bulding Hydrogen powerd stuff but Oxygen/Hydrogen are just rather boring plan in vinila and in most case jsut to ezey
vizthex 4 Nov, 2020 @ 12:23pm
@merath I would say they'd conflict, but thanks for telling me about that. It's just what I needed.
merath 4 Nov, 2020 @ 6:57am
any one know it this mod woudlinter fear with this one Proper Hydrogen Rebalance
vizthex 29 Oct, 2020 @ 10:07am
Yeah idk why the devs bothered with the hydrogen bar. It's almost never used. They basically just left the existing power-based system (back before oxygen and such was introduced) and just added a small hydrogen drain.
Joelfett 29 Oct, 2020 @ 10:05am
Im gonna save this mod for later, its a nice mod but there is no ability to change the thrust of the jetpack from ion to hydrogen, makes it really annoying in pressurized and gravity rich environments
vizthex 28 Oct, 2020 @ 6:28pm
Would be nice if we could configure this. Hydrogen tanks storing the same amount as usual but O2 ones only storing 839 (sounds so random too) is quite annoying.
JellyBean 25 Apr, 2020 @ 8:37am
Are there key bindings to change the jetpack from ion thrust to hydrogen thrust? If not, there is a major issue with the jetpack modifications
Ace 11 Jan, 2020 @ 11:55am
Mod is broken.

It breaks jetpacks.

Unsubscribed.
systat 9 Nov, 2019 @ 10:28am
Not exactly true regarding @Tyrian. Pure oxygen at high pressure leads to oxygen toxicity and is a concern for divers, and in such a case is true. In space astronauts have to breathe an air mix that is lower in pressure than on earth to avoid long acclimation periods between donning and removing their environmental suits. Due to the lower pressure the oxygen is much higher in the mix to ensure that the astronauts get sufficient oxygen in their bloodstreams. The only reason pure oxygen is avoided is because of the oxidation hazard it presents in the presence of a fuel source and an open flame or electrical short.
DieDae 13 Oct, 2019 @ 1:17am
The reason that the female engineer and the newer cockpit are unaffected by the mod is because they are not present in the cubeblock.sbc in the modfile and therefore aren't overwritten.

It would appear that Entspeak either doesn't care about the mod anymore or cannot update for some reason.
Tyrian 12 Oct, 2019 @ 10:57pm
retard if you breath pure oxygen you die. srsly. do your RL hunting in RL. its not facepalm its faceplanet.
ChozoSR388 10 Oct, 2019 @ 1:33am
If you're still monitoring this freq., there's a new bug with vanilla cockpits EXCEPT the Industrial Cockpit; Cockpit and Fighter Cockpit revert to their pre-Survival Update state (no functional displays, no options for the displays, cockpit displays appear to be turned off (nothing but a black screen)). This only happens when this mod is present in the load order (even if it's the only mod in the load order). Also, please fix the jet pack for the Male Engineer; the Female Engineer's jet pack works perfectly fine (you can thrust up with the Female Engineer).
H_MIKU37 9 Jul, 2019 @ 11:47pm
Hello

I think a refreshment should be because it runs out of oxygen and hydrogen very quickly
DieDae 16 Mar, 2019 @ 9:25am
@entspeak, Please update characters.sbc in your mod to reflect the necessary changes to get jetpacks to work again.

With the latest update KSH reworked the characters.sbc *again* to add temperature conditions. If you don't want to take the time to go over all the code and get it working the way your mod originally intended then please just fix it so that way jetpacks work without server owners having to change the file and repack it so the mod works.

I will sub to this thread so if anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about and would like a workaround in the meantime can comment and I'll help them out.
seronis 3 Mar, 2019 @ 12:43am
Would absolutely love this updated for version 1.189
Mr.Monk 6 Jan, 2019 @ 7:03pm
a little known fact that at least in the early days of space flight they used a combo gas of O2 and He (oxygen and helium) to avoid risk of oxygen toxicity.
Kujo Divinity 6 Aug, 2018 @ 7:36am
any chance of an update to this great mod?
Sich 23 Jul, 2018 @ 3:17am
This mod is broken for a long time now.
DieDae 22 Jul, 2018 @ 5:40pm
After looking at the characters/sbc it looks like they are using twice as much thrust as you have currently set and also the female body was added
DieDae 22 Jul, 2018 @ 5:32pm
I'm surprised nobody has said anything even though it's been said on a reddit post and somewhere here on the steam forums iirc but this mod currently makes jetpacks not able to fly directly up when the spacebar is pressed. @entspeak are you working on an update?
Asiltic 7 Jun, 2018 @ 4:45pm
I hoped this mod would include burning Hydrogen with Oxygen. Just dumping it out is not that efficient
Zahiid 6 Apr, 2018 @ 8:22am
Do you know of a mod that simply turns off the Jetpack when it runs out of energy? I think it is redundant that both losing energy AND oxygen kill you in the same fashion. It would reduce some of the tedium if losing energy just turned off the ion jetpack or something.
Azirahael 27 Feb, 2018 @ 1:20am
O2's not the issue. IT's the buildup of CO2 that gets you killed.
So a suit may have hours of O2 in it, but you'll still pass out and die in minutes, due to CO2. poisoning.
Mr. X WeregλrurumonX 16 Feb, 2018 @ 9:24pm
Can confirm as well. Breaks with the latest updates.
Sich 9 Feb, 2018 @ 6:23am
yep confirmed... jetpack unusable with this mods.... it work without the mod... :(
Dark_but_Good 6 Feb, 2018 @ 2:38pm
Yes the jet backs no longer have the power needed to get you off the ground.
DarthNovii 3 Feb, 2018 @ 10:04am
Unfortunetely, Keen has once again broken your amazing mod... Just thought I'd let you know.
Fatsack 12 Dec, 2017 @ 5:47pm
@Zoar, what he's saying is that custom cockpits will use the default vanilla settings for capacity, generation, etc, since his mod only touches vanilla blocks and items.
entspeak  [author] 2 Oct, 2017 @ 7:13pm
You have to make the changes I mention above to custom cockpits. This mod doesn't work out of the box with mods.
Zóar 2 Oct, 2017 @ 6:15pm
Sorry i don't understand the problem with custom cockpits, i'm using this mod:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1121834524

Is this a problem?
Tanis 21 Sep, 2017 @ 9:41am
Thanks!
entspeak  [author] 20 Sep, 2017 @ 3:13pm
Should be fixed now, Tanis
Tanis 20 Sep, 2017 @ 11:04am

The oxygen bottle, does not fill the oxygen of my EVA when it is over, why?
Psysop 5 Sep, 2017 @ 9:55am
Well, from all we said, for me this mod in its current state brings "different" not "more" realism. But as you said it is subjective. Thanks for all this cool exchange of opinion.
Nonetheless it is a good mod.
entspeak  [author] 5 Sep, 2017 @ 9:04am
As I said... you can't simply "introduce air recycling." There's nothing in the game that allows for it. It's not a process that can be simulated - that's why I said it's irrelevant. Realistically, O2 recycling would've been a thing at the time this game takes place. There's no reason not to make the assumption that it just works that way. Yes, there's an element of pulling things from nowhere, but so do vanilla O2 farms.
entspeak  [author] 5 Sep, 2017 @ 8:55am
"More" is a subjective term. Is it as realistic as you seem to think it should be? Maybe not - to each his own. But, it is "more" realistic than the vanilla version.
Psysop 5 Sep, 2017 @ 8:49am
From a simulationist point of view of the game, it is actually relevant in that introducing air recycling introduces the need to mine the necessary compound to recycle. Adjusting O2 consumption and bypassing that part feels more like a "easy mode on O2" (I can't find a better word) than simulation to me because it unrealistically reduces by a big deal the need to find or make resources linked to breathing and so it is globally easier on survival.
I am not criticizing your work, you made something great and consistent (and I know how hard it is to make something consistent). I just don't agree with and am criticizing the "more realistic" aspect of this mod, but I like the idea to adding something to motivate a better O2 management.
entspeak  [author] 5 Sep, 2017 @ 8:10am
I didn't forget how O2 recycling works... it can't be repicated in-game, so it's irrelevant. Doesn't mean O2 recycling isn't possible in the time the game takes place... just can't do that simulation. So, take it for granted.
Psysop 5 Sep, 2017 @ 8:03am
About the "oxygen last longer in real life support", I think you forgot that in order to recycle CO2 you use a compound that reacts with it to capture C and to release O2. At that point this compound becomes the consumable (instead of O2) that must be replaced for CO2 to be recycled and be able to breathe again.
