Thank you for your faith in my modding skills..
but nowadays I dont even know how to update my own mods
without reading my own hints posted *above*.
If you are really interested in changing the driving speed of vehicles you should try modding the game yourself(no offense).
A good start to do so will be finding the corresponding *.h file with something like "rover" in the file name.
Of course you wont find it in the "entities" folder I presume ;)
Sorry.
Finally I found the reason of your crash..
The reason:
Stupid modder did NOT noticed change in "machine_resourceetank.h" for a year..
Shame to me. Sorry!!
But somehow I am innocent, i swear! :D
I was unable to produce those errors myself, as they only appeared in multiplayer games.
Fixed!
It is still working ;)
I just checked the mod and it works as expected.
Do you "opted-in" into the development branch?
Do you got an update "lately" (today?)?
I have not got an update for ToM within the last 2 days. So I will have to wait for those problematic update to find a solution.
If you could find some way to make the seeding motion of the seeding proccess do "go 3' to the left, right, or down, then down + seed" in a mod, that would make the forklift solution a one man job.
Interesting!
When I was facing those issue I was unable to find a solution other than to mod it.
Your idea of corporate work did really worked?
So thats may be the reason why Dram never fixed it
If this mod somehow fixed said tanks so that when carrying them with a forklift, that they would properly clear the forklift when attempting to seed to the ground, then I'd be sold.
P.S. forklift nearly solves manned moon tanks prob, if you had 2 people playing one to backup the forklift quickly, it would also solve the initial tanks issue.
Sorry for answering so late..
To give all wanna-be-modders an easier start I added some information in the description above.
I hope it may help ;)
Nevertheless: again thank you to the developers of this great game to let us.. modify it ;)
Its just a modification to keep virtual life easier.
After playing some hours I noticed some tanks were misplaced.
Bad luck they were already filled with stuff and moving them to another place was impossible.
Or would have taken MORE time than I had already played so far..
As the wiki about modding still not exists I had to be VERY angry to spend the time to find out how things work with those "modding".
Nevertheless its a surprisingly interesting game and thanks to those developers who made it ;)
Hoses would be nice. I will give it a try and think about implementing them.
Nice work :) 10/10
Those idea has already been posted in the forum and i like it, too.
To be honest.. all I did for the mod is to zero one variable..
Really, I dont know nothing about modding myself nor this strange scripting language they are using.
So I am the wrong one to ask about making such modification, sorry.
last time i disabled all mods (due some unfriendly CTDs).
Later I tried the lunar proving ground and found the filled ressource tank weight(around 8000.. somethings) has been reduced so I was able to assemble it to the ground.
