wondering if this MOD works ok with the new DLC?
loudent2  [author] 7 Apr, 2016 @ 9:57pm
@VerumJulos, If you read down in the comments the makers of the game removed the quest from the list and requested I remove it from the mod. It could be re-enabled but it would be an unsupported feature right now. I suggest you head on over to the Atomic torch studios forum and post your request there. Perhaps they can take another pass at it.

This developer gets 10/10 for cooperation with their community. Unbelievable support and such! AWESOME.

@ATS done.

To author of the mod: We have removed escort mission from the game (you will not receive it from station commanders), but we have left the files in for compatibility reasons with the old saves. Can you please remove this mission from your mod as well? As this is no longer supported.

@loudent2 Cities: Skylines has a mod that re-enables acheivements while using mods. Does that count? :)

you can get some of the harder achievements just entering the dev console commands (like the level 90 one). the trick is not to be tempted since nobody cares about your game achievements except yourself!

You may be correct with the civ games.

Unfortuantely I got all the easy achievements before I started playing with mods in each of those games. The rest of the ones I didn't get were all the endgame ones for victory or multiple playthrough achievements, and I usually lose interest after a day's worth in a campaign.

Interesting, but you're wrong about civ games. Civ 5 and Civ:be do not alllow you to get achievements when using mods
JoeShmo 7 Apr, 2015 @ 3:08pm
Any Bethesda game ( Elder Scrolls / Fallout / etc. ), Dark souls 1 / 2 , Space Pirates and Zombies, Deus Ex franchise, XCOM, Grim Dawn, Drox Operative, Dragon Age 1 / 2, all Civ Games, Starpoint Gemini 2, the list goes on.

There is a sublte difference though between mods "activated" via a toggle in game, and those using an external launcher and/or modded via filepath. In all of my cases though of games with achievements that I have modded, I still recieved achievements while using them, regardless of the method used to mod.

There may very well be examples of some that don't, or don't under certain circumstances, but I have non on mind that do. But I certainly don't own every game on steam, and there are plenty outside of it that offer achievements as well.

But those are what I can think of off the top of my head.

@joeShmo: I have NO games that allow for steam achievements with mods activated and I think that's the norm. however, I don't play all games. Can you name a few that allow for steam achievements with mods activated?
JoeShmo 7 Apr, 2015 @ 4:43am
They don't, you can still get achievements with mods enabled. Pretty much all games function like this, even if it does allow for abuse.
loudent2  [author] 7 Apr, 2015 @ 4:23am
I believe all mods disable the steam achievements
govegirl 7 Apr, 2015 @ 2:59am
Hi thanks for shariing! Does this mod disable the steam achievements?
JoeShmo 6 Apr, 2015 @ 10:46pm
@loudent2: Well, if you did not inted for folks to select no, I'm hard pressed to figure out why someone would add an option to do so :P .

That being said, jokingly, I don't mind the timer in regards to inbetween quests themselves, but when declining a quest ( for whatever reason ) I don't believe it should be there; or just take out the "yes / no " part of accepting quests to prevent this issue imo.

I can understand that the 3 quest limit was with the intention that someone would be doing campaign / faction quests at the same time, but the mod description makes it sound like its refering to the side quests being allowed to stack to 3; maybe it could be made more clear that it's still sticking to the "Per commander" limitation and not a separate limitation for just the modded station quest section. It wasnt readily obvious to me that it was still sticking to the old system.

Thanks for clearing that up though.

@JoeShmo: I opted to leave the quest cooldown timer intact. Although, I'm hard pressed to figure out why someone would say no to a quest they selected.

Yes, the quest giver will only give one, but other station commanders can still give quests and you have the main story quest (if still doign it). The 3 quest limitation is not something I implemented it is something I preserved that was already in the game.
JoeShmo 6 Apr, 2015 @ 9:04pm
Not sure if this is a base game issue, but selecting "No" when asked if you would like to accept the quest puts the quest availability on cooldown; so you have to come back later to try again.

Seems like an odd thing to have as an option if it automatically removes your ability to quest aftwrwards.

Quest giver also refuses to give additional quests after the first one, until you complete it, so having a "max of 3" is a moot point.
