I think this is an awesome collection but without screen shots in game it's painful. I know it may be a lot of work but the stuff you've made is an excellent addition to any player of the game who likes the realism, like myself! By the way, the screenshots/thumbnails you've done so far are more than good enough.

I really hope you're making icons.... I hate that there are no icons :(

Finally sussed out screenshots and will be uploading some showing these assets in use. Here's one with walled treeline and walled alleyway arranged side by side along a rail track: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=426565249

Urg, sorry for comment spam.. One last idea: Free rotate versions of the treelines so they can be placed anywhere. While this makes them difficult to place accurately (the snappable ones would still needed for every day use) it would allow treelines to be put in some hard to reach places.

And... one final idea... Canal shoreline - line the banks of a river with more solid pedestrian infrastructure. Example: To place either side of a marina. You could even have an 'alley' that extends out in to the river, like a pier or something like that (placable on water).

OMG, one final (yes, really) idea... Pedestrian Tunnel! An alley or treeline with a tube station at the end, but the station looks like a tunnel entrance with a path going in to it. Place one either side of a mountain, then draw the metro tube between them and you got yourself a pedestrian tunnel lol!

Another idea: Additional fence types, especially for treelines: Hedges, wooden panel fencing, wooden farm fencing, security fencing (with barbed wire or spikes at top)... Basically to make alleys that better tie in with different zones - eg. light residential suburbs would often have hedges or wooden panel fences, while dense commercial zones would probably want something more secure...

Another thing to experiment with... we have treeline, what about shoreline? Two examples I've found so far:

I'll see if I can work out how to take screenshots and upload some :)

Some possible things to experiment with (no idea if these are possible):

a) Enabling bi-directional snapping when placing asset, so I can use each asset as either an alley or a treeline (piece of 'invisable' road or something at each corner?).

b) Ability to chain assets without placing more roads... I could place a piece of treeline and then attach other bits of treeline to the end of it without needing more bits of temporary road.

c) Pedestrian pathway ramp... Would start at ground level and go up to higher level (game standard height step). The high point would be alighned to a tile just like in game. I could then complete the pathway using the in-game pedestrian pathway tool. In particular the ground under the ramp should be concrete texture. Could experiment with ramps that fit in to smaller than usual areas, such as a 2x2 tile or 1x3 tile.

The icons are great - makes the assets so much easier to find and use! I'm not sure there's a need to state whether they are walled, as that can be seen from the icon.

If you wanted to make them super-posh: Is it possible to get a transparent image of the asset (ie. no grass)? If so, you could get an image showing just the asset, on transparent background, from perspective of the road it would be connected to (so snap point is in foreground of the image, but looking from slightly above ground for better view). This way the only text needed would be the size, as it would be clear from icon whether it's alley or treeline, etc.

@auberdine...new icons on Alley Walled 1x5 v1(brand new asset), Alley Walled 1x16_L v1, and Dead End 2x1 v1. think this will be enough info on the icon?

yeah when i update the icons, im also updating the stats to make them maintainence free. id love to see screenshots too. ive done 3 icons so far and have included the dimensions in the icon, has rel potential when im done to be a awesome alley building system...what do u think, aubergine?

Awesome! The delay on the info bubble is driving me nuts so being able to just find these via icon will make life much, much easier! Would it be possible to also include the dimensions in the icon - that's the main thing I need to know when placing assets in existing areas ("Will it fit?").

I've just used walled alley & treeline assets to make a wall all the way along a train line near some offices - looks awesome! Although one of the treelines is getting crime and there's no way for my police cars to get to it :/ Is there a way to prevent treelines from getting crime?

im working on in-game icons...found out how to do them, its just gonna take a lot of work to do. But for you guys.....anything.

I really wish you'd add in-game icons so it's easier to see what the items look like prior to placement. Currently my parks menu is just filled with the default block icon for all your assets :(

If these are used by pedestrians it'd be the best thing ever.

Do the citizens walk down these at all?
