Fantastic route. I may have an idea or two for writing scenarios for this route :steamhappy:

Hiya Dark - there will be a final version hopefully in the coming months, I was actually thinking of getting back to the route tonight! The reason for the delay is that My first born arrived so the past 8 months she's had all my attention (and still does!) although now she's settled down a bit more I can try and get this done asap! - all thats left are speed limit re-adressing and scenery in places once thats done were good to go. Thank you for the kind comments

Great! Nice job! Will there be sometime a final version? Since as long as it is only one advance version, one can publish no scenarios of it. Do you maybe need help?

Hi I think a south bound entry from the single main line to the first siding on the left would save having to reverse into tne coal depot.

Just had another enjoyable slow trundle to Bath.

"Floating" scenery I've noticed, all of this on the left side only, with approx distances from Bath.

26.50 miles - foliage, 24.91 - fence/hedge, 24.15 - fence posts, 18.45 (Masbury Summit) - foliage (some possibly on the right too),16.19 - trees, "hit" a bush entering Midsomer Norton, 11.23 - bits of bridge parapet missing and some floating trees just beyond. None this is major stuff and some is very minor, but this time I was actively looking for it with the hope that it helps a bit.

Apologies if you know about all of this already. If I see anything else I'll let you know - have to do it this way as I don't do facebook

Hi deargdoom thank ou for the kind words, will hunt down those anti gravity trees and bring them down to earth

Thanks for this Lord Bickerstaff, it's a good idea and makes an interesting contrast to Sparker's "Along the Levels to Burnham-on-Sea". Looks pretty good for a WIP - there's obviously a lot of work in this already - on a full run up the line I only saw very occasional floating trees and "hit" a couple of bushes.

Will keep an eye on this one and I look forward to updates.

As an aside, I can remember a model railway in the '60s, part of which was based on a (ficticious) BR West Country 25Kv electrification trial using the S&D main line - not sure now where it went after Templecombe (it's a long time ago!). Slightly mad, but an interesting concept
