Well Keen has added auto pilot via the remote control blocks so it is not really necessary anymore.

Sadly it wont. Maybe but the code itself it pretty bad since it was made as a show piece.

This is predating the original auto pilot so it doesn't use the new autopilot and was instead using an old script that may be defunct at this point.

Cant seem to get the autopilot to work, is there somw thing that Im missing? Ship does not move to any points that I select in the pannel, no info on the pannel as will just the nav plan.

Updated Description:
Further updates to my situation. I am still looking for an apartment, my old hardware has broken while I had it stowed. I can't test scripts due to the script testing will crash SE on this tablet rather often.I can play the game with approximately 5-10 FPS at the moment, but any kind of productive scripting is impossible.

I am trying to see if I can earn enough money to get some new hardware, but I doubt it, so the prospects of this project being finished is quite a few months ahead in time.

@Derp Gas, the only thing I have access to at the moment is a Tablet, and a very old gaming laptop. And the old gaming laptop runs SE "slightly" better than my tablet. No kidding.

@Derp Gas I am very sorry to inform you, unless I get some new and better hardware, continuing this project is near impossible.

I have tried seeing if I can continue it, but I can't on this tablet, and I sadly wont have the money for a new computer. If I had a computer that could run SE properly, I would have a new version of the script done in a week or two.

I'm sorry to say so, but the project of recreating the script is currently on a hold due to real life issues.
These issues are related to not having access to my files I've been working on, and due to my current living situation. I'm currently looking for an apartment, but it seems the prospects of an apartment is looking to be around a month.

I'm very sorry, and I feel like I'm letting the people down expecting the script within a few weeks. As soon as my living situation is sorted I'll be working heavily on the script until it is done!

The project is not scrapped, merely delayed.

@Kakopnuos. Yeah, but I felt that I wanted to use all vanilla (Except the command consoles.. They are just to awesome), so I only end up using 1 mod. More accessible to people, and the command console mod is easy to replace with vanilla if needed.

@cboirum No, I made the ship to build the ship, so I basically only build the functionality I needed. As you say yourself its easy to make automatic doors with just sensors anyway. :) Therefor I did not feel it was a priority to add to the script. Most likely not even the new version.

This would be great to add into a ship I made that auto builds and fires two large ship torpedos. Have you tried sensors to open the doors when you get close enough? I was able to do this by spaceing the doors in the air lock far enough apart.

@SioxerNic Yeah I kinda figured you knew about it but I didn't see the harm in mentioning it. This game is on the cusp of becoming TRULY amazing once they allow freer modding of the UI. Being able to tie systems together and use software modules as plug-ins is going to revolutionize the way this game is played. The thought of Software/Hardware combos on ships to fully customize the operational capability makes my index fingers hard......

@UltraEmailMan Sorry I can't get any pictures of the outside at the moment, since I'm the progress of moving at the moment. I'll see if I can get a friend to grab some pictures :)
@platypusguy1 Kolts Command Consoles, amazing mod.
@RandomVintage It is screenwide, you cannot change font color for each character sadly enough,otherwise this would've looked a lot different :)
@supersquid2000 Sadly the ingame scripting API doesn't allow you to use the chat box for input. When custom UI comes out, I'll probably do something with that.
Also I was aware with the stuff with the buttons :P Didn't bother changing it since I'm rebuilding the script completely, from bottom up.

Haha I just realized that the buttons for the menu navigation are labeled wrong. Down cycles up and Up cycles down. :) Not hating on you, just letting you know. I fixed it on my copy by just relabeling.

This is positively amazing. The first true OS for a ship. This is like DOS. Now we need to graduate to Windows. I was wondering if it's possible to use the chat box for player input? The script could make a call to the contents of the textbox after prompting the user. This way, GPS, and other basic commands could be issued without navigating a menu necessarily, or finding the correct LCD to input the data into. If Keen ever supports HUD modding fully, perhaps this could use that as a GUI? It would be nice to make calls to outside software as well, a voice recog could make voice commands a reality.....

I love the work you did to the autopilot and the other scrip. I keeped the ship for my servival to go minning after i scout out what is there and bring it back to base with out me.

@vash.davis96 I have to say though, I did not build the NAV Autopilot, it was done by Armor, I did make the interface to allow it to be editable through a screen.
@RebelDash Only Command Console Pack by Kolt, that is the only mod it is using. I can't help myself using that one, as the bridge looks to damn cool because of it.
Beyond that no mods what so ever, only Programmable Blocks and LCD's.
