In fact, it seems so elegant that it's almost as if there should be an advanced version out there somewhere...

Hmm. Well if you're going to bunnyhop to the exit I don't even have to tell you that you shouldn't be claiming that as a legit solution. But, even if it isn't, I'm not too worried about it though because this is a logic test and not a jumpy jump test.

@quaternary I did play it. The 2 block jump is possible with a really good Bhop. But since I don't have that kind of skill, I just put a portal up 3 blocks from the pit to give myself a height advantage.

simple yet effective, id suggest making the wall though the first gating blocked while you are in the funnel up there , just to increase difficulty.

you can add it to an advance model of the puzzle if you like. (that is what i normally do do)

Did you actually play it? There is grating there to block your way and the gap is too wide to jump.
