To start, Turn lighting off, and you'll be able to see your models. This map was intended for scene building and it is huge. It is very easy to get disorientated and lost.

Back when this was created, people were screaming for an extremely large map with no lighting at all. This was created to fill that "Void".

I don't remeber if I added the HDR switch or not. But I must have because it works in SFM without generating the HDR error.

Glad you like it. Don't get lost though, it is a HUGE map and because there are no lights, you can get extremely disoriented quickly. When setting up your shots, disable lights so you can see what you're doing.

props_buildings\row_res2_ascend_fullscale.mdl

These are full sized buildings in my Totally Black map, if you need them smaller, you'll have to add a scale control to the static_prop bone.

The problem with a completely black void is the inability to see the borders. You could add some glowing white border brush entities ("Other Entities") that could be used as a guide.

Is the sniper normal sized and the buildings small? or is the sniper giant and the buildings huge? Questions I ask myself at night.

There are no lights what's so ever, therefore it's still black even if you disable lights. VERY easy to get lost in. But the buildings and the vehicles on the snipe's hat are full TF2 sized models. The sniper has been scaled up and the was still room to scale him more.

I usually throw a volumetric light into the scene and increase its farz where the camera first spawns. Just to give me a reference point. Then go from there... lol

Something you didn't understand by the title, or what was written in the description? It is a totally BLACK map. Turning the lighting off will display your model without lights as long as your camera is in view of the model. It is a REALLY BIG, TOTALLY BLACK Void.

What do you mean? I built my scene in it, but it needs some fog. I can't adjust fog through the console without a fog controller in the map.

As the map is just one gigantic black cube, adding a fog controller might not work the way you think it might.
