Low Pedestrian Overpass - 2 Lane (Fixed) [Deprecated]

"Deprecated" statement in title confuses me.
So as I understand correctly, this was once broken due to renaming but is working perfectly fine if to be plopped for the first time?

Also is the difference between this and "Low Pedestrian Overpass - 2 Lanes (Overhang)" the tree and benches?
If so I really prefer to use this one, if it's working.

One last question, why are these 2 lane versions are 6mb but the 4 lane version is 2.4 mbs?

Does it work for dark night ?

@templeofdoom, it means the author is going to remove this mod in the near future and encourages to use the mods mentioned under other versions.

What does "deprecated" mean for this asset in the title? I've seen some modders use that tag and I have no idea what it means in context to these assets.

Thanks! I used these extensively in SC4. Good to see them here as well.

exactly what i was looking for! awesome

@LegionOfMe, that is why I never created a 6-lane version using this design. The road stub fuses with an existing road segment, which makes it painful to remove the lot. Consider this file to be a legacy and don't download it if you just want to use it in your city. The overhang versions are more user-friendly in many aspects.

This version did not work properly for me. I could not place it anywhere along existing roads, so I free-placed it, but then I saw that one end of the road was broader than the other end. It looks like a 2/2 road changes into a 3/3 road. Hoping for the overlap version now (the 4-6 lane road overlap worked fine).

this looks awesome, i've been hoping for a leaner way to get people across roads. always borked at the normal raised paths because they take up so much space. and this seems super simple to place as well. is there any way to set the speed of the path for pedestrians? that might entice them to use it in preference to nearby road crossings...

dose not work

I think it's fine having a few people visiing the overpass. People in my town like to stand there for a little while and watch passing traffic. (Kinda shows how boring my town is)
Maestro 27 Apr, 2015 @ 11:27am
How peculiar. It's still better than the 500' tall fly-overs we normally have to build for pedestrians, taking up as much room as your average department store ;-)
Orchid  [author] 27 Apr, 2015 @ 11:13am
@Nicci: My bad, I have lowered the numbers as you wish. Accumulation is as low as the first version, but radius is still 100, so you still get some cims who "visit" the overpass.

@Maestro: I had no choice but to use the Park template for this model. I have tried using the Intersection template, but the model won't get placed any way. So it has become a park, a place for Cims to hang around.
Maestro 27 Apr, 2015 @ 10:50am
Is that why my people are "visiting" an overpass? What in the name of all that is holy led you to that choice firehouse? :-)
Nicci 27 Apr, 2015 @ 9:48am
This looks promising, but you'd have to remove the entertainment from it for me to use it at least.
Orchid  [author] 27 Apr, 2015 @ 2:25am
Interesting. I've disabled all mods and people can still use the bridge. Could you please pm me or post a picture how you have set up the neighborhood? Thanks!
Maestro 27 Apr, 2015 @ 2:18am
|No problem I'll check but my CIMs were walking about 500m to go around he block rather than use the crossing. If I can't see anything obvious, I'll try to get some pictures for you to see. I really want this to work because I think it's the best walkway I've seen yet :-)
Orchid  [author] 26 Apr, 2015 @ 8:29pm
@Maestro and @Weduku, thank you for reporting this doesn't work. But did you check that there wasn't any crossroads nearby to prevent people from choosing the overpass to cross the street? Because the path across the road that I use for the overpass is longer than the road width, the pathfinder will prefer crossroads over this if the crossroads are near enough. Please do another test with longer, uninterrupted straight roads instead. I promise you both will see its effect :).
BLÀde 26 Apr, 2015 @ 8:08pm
can you make one for a 6 lane and highway road?
Lemon Machine 26 Apr, 2015 @ 9:47am
This would be fantastic if people actually used it for walking through, not just for visiting the overpass itself. At the moment it's a no-download.
Maestro 26 Apr, 2015 @ 8:46am
Waaaait a minute - clicking on the people hanging around show me they're "visiting the overpass". Really?!
Maestro 26 Apr, 2015 @ 8:42am
Hi there - I don't ever see anyone use this. People literally stand around at the bottom of the stairs and walk miles around it to get to the other side. I've seen others hang around then run across the road but never seen anyone walk over it. What might I be doing wrong?
Orchid  [author] 26 Apr, 2015 @ 7:10am
Sure I will make double-wide versions later, but I do want more variety. It will be a long way for me to make new models. Seeing this model over and over is boring, right? I don't want to break any other's day by offering the same model over and over...
Muspell 26 Apr, 2015 @ 6:10am
wow that looks really great.

how about a 4 and 6-lane version?
agusingnavy 26 Apr, 2015 @ 3:45am
The level of detail is fantastic. Great job Sims, I love it.

great Work mate

Thanks. I have just spotted that the LOD texture was broken. It is fixed now. I believe you don't have to demolish existing ones, but you can make sure the model is the latest by re-building this lot.

Nice bridge, definitely spruces up the neighbourhood. Also, the bins/ garbage accumulation adds to the realism.
