Not sure anymore if you can choose (without extra payment) when you deploy your general for the first time.
You just need to use the "replace general option" (the kicking boot - left lower corner in the general details) or raise a completely new army. Both options are still possible.
This feature was not in the original game, it was a remnant of Rome II, just something that I tried out.
I tried the two links but seems that the links within those link to download it are no longer good.
Thanks for any help, I think this would be a useful mod.
Having the option to go melee vs cavalry would be nicer, but I guess that means a higher tier spear unit would have to be added? I haven't gotten to play the Beher's Chosen or Kushute Shotelai yet, or the two spear units you get later on based on your religion (but I bet that would be difficult to check for) but I'm sure one of them could be used.
@ Mazdek: I thought all of them already had cavalry general units, don't they?
@erykolos [PL]: nope, I don't know how to juggle with UI. That's why with this mod you will not have more than 2 bodyguard options. Maybe one day I will know how to add a sliding bar or replace UI parts, but not yet.
