I hope this can be fixed!

4-to-6 lane version is working fine. 2-lane version one is now broken and the citizens walk under/across the road instead of on the bridge and over the road. :(

Such a shame as this was the best pedestrian bridge out there.

Yeah, I really wish C.O would of made one of these in vanilla, they're SO useful. Pray for author to fix :)

This used to work great for me but now my people aren't actually going over it, they're walking underneath it. By far the best looking pedestrian bridge so would love it to get a fix if possible?

Unfortunately, the peds aren't walking over it for me - instead they're just walking across the road under it. Any ideas?

Love these, thank you!

First off: Thanks for making my favorite ped. overpass of all time!

Second: In snowfall the snow at the bottom of the bridge pillars spills on to the street.
Is it possible to make a model where the pillars are a little further apart?

Like the overpass. Suggestion: add a version without the little garden/seats. Quite often I don't have space for that.

Is there an underground version of this?

Great work. Thank you. To see the cims use it with their bike´s is fun. :-)

I love your pedestrian overpasses - well done. Do you have any issue if I use your overpasses as the basis for my own variations (I'd credit you in any that I made). I've made a range of modular parks that have a common look and feel. Am thinking of making some more parks which would incorprate your overpass for a common look. Thx...

I have your pedestrian bridges all over my city. I love these things. They're so much easier to use than other bridges on the workshop. Thanks for these!

Is there a way you can get multiple bridges for different road sizes and directions instead of single downloads for different road sizes and directions?
cab1995 30 May, 2015 @ 3:11am
@simsfirehouse I've tried out the "inside pedestrian paths" ingame. I put them over my crossings and the majority of cims would use them and not the zebra crossings.

@Letting Off H20: This bridge needs to be anchored on one side of the road, so the 2x2 space on roadside is inevitable. Nevertheless, this is much better than the first bridge I published, which is a lot more inflexible.

@cab1995: I took a glance at your snapshots. The pathing is ok, but Cims do prefer crossings, which means they will not take these pink paths near crossroads.

Here are 2 pics to show what im talking about: http://i.imgur.com/w1pY0p7.jpg http://i.imgur.com/XOD0z9k.jpg It isn't working because i don't know how tu use hex editing...

For example when you have 2 6 lane roads crossing you can put 1x1 tile enterances in every corner and then connect them underground. It would be awesome if you could ad a metro station under the crossing too by using 4 metro staition tracks at diferent levels rotated 90 degrees. This way the pedestrians could use the enterances to the metro and use them to cross the streets

Typical entrance looks like subway entrance from C:SL, just ladder instead of escalator.
Some may look like this one [7bbae062-b383-4de9-9235-d972ea560d5d.jpg.beta.cdn.gorod55.ru] in my home city (Omsk). Note that blue sign [static6.depositphotos.com]. Looks like a good prop idea to me.

I need ideas! Please provide how you want it to look like, thanks!
BloodyPenguin 28 May, 2015 @ 10:47pm
@cab1995 Wow)) I've just came here to ask exactly the same question :)
cab1995 25 May, 2015 @ 9:36am
Can you make an underpass too that doesn't take up a lot of space?
Orchid  [author] 10 May, 2015 @ 6:48am
@BLÀde so you knew. Crossing at grade is easier than taking the overpass.
BLÀde 10 May, 2015 @ 4:06am
i put it near a crossing but they always use that instead
Orchid  [author] 9 May, 2015 @ 11:34pm
@BLÀde Please make sure you placed the bridge on a strategic spot, where you predict people would use it to cross the street, eg. a commercial strip across from a residential block.
BLÀde 9 May, 2015 @ 9:39pm
they won't use the bridge for me?
PrDatur 9 May, 2015 @ 2:12am
Hey, thanks for that info, the hardway i now understand better how i get the pathes in the file :) I hardly analysed your 2-lane bridge, and i understand it quitly good. But first I will test the asset mod. If it will workI would be more happy but for now, thanks for your hard work. Will let you know if it worked or not :)
Orchid  [author] 8 May, 2015 @ 6:18pm
Hi, thank you for the response.
To add a path to an asset, first you need to find the path with the same name length which you are able to place in the Asset Editor. For example, I want to add a "Pedestrian Connection" path. I look it up in the reference of available names and find that a "Large Oneway Elevated" has the same name length of 21 characters.
I placed a Large Oneway Elevated in the Asset Editor and then changed the name to Pedestrian Connection in the Hex editor.
This is the hard way.

Here's the easier way:
The mod "Advanced Building" by rollo has extended the ability to place paths in the Asset Editor. It allows any path, or any NetInfo from the game repository, to be placed.

Hey, I have read your hex editor tutorial, but I do not really understand how it works.
I saw the purple pedestrian path within your asset and I would like to also add such a path to my asset, so pedestrians will work this way.
Is this only possible with the hex editor? Could you explain your hex editor method on your asset. Maybe this will make it clear how I could add it to my asset.
