I dont even use planets with my ships, My capitals have never seen them. Using ion based engines/modded engines doesnt help.

I suck at designing shi;ps in general, and I've got a mid range PC that can't handle really large ships with tons of things going on at once, so most of my ships are around Corvette size and planets I spawn in are usually the smallest size possible.

No, none of them have any interiors, and with my current computer It's a real struggle to continue building them any further beyond their basic functions. I also don't have a big interest in interiors, and I'm never satisfied with what I come up with. I do have some of my smaller ships published, and they do have interiors, there are a few more I can finish up; I just don't have the time or energy to do the interiors.

Have you published the bigger ships?

I use the small ones to really move my corvette and I have a few sets of Ion and Atmosphere for docking.

I usually have them as emergency thrusters, or have them as main engines while base game or other modded thrusters are just "docking" thrusters or something along those lines. Some of my biggest ships require the large engines to even move though.

I finally repaired my ship (What was left of it) and isntead just put a single small Thruster on each side of my ship and one each fro front and back, they give plenty of thrust for my smaller Corvette size ship and it all works out perfectly.

I strapped a good 60 Large thrusters on a ship, needless to say my ship got several "light seconds" away after a while.

Got this mod.
Went to my personal fav ship I named the Road Runner.
See how strong these engines are supposed to be.
Get excited and attach 6 of them to my ship.
Get engines started up.
*Miscaluculation*
Hit the side of a moon at 16k m/s
most of the Road Runner is totally gone.
I nearly crashed my game(Frozen for a full 5 minutes while it processed what happened*
Come back in.
I hit the moon so hard I flew out of my ship and I'm now stuck underneath the terrain and have to dig myself out.

16k/10 would blow up my favorite ship again.

I went and tested it, and I agree that it's overkill even for this - it melted a hole in a ship several kilometres away at full thrust. This has now been fixed along with some new flares and sounds.

Wait how does the thrust output compare to that of those super engines? I've been using those on my ships for a while now and sometimes theyre just too powerful or too weak. How do these compare?

Probably a thruster damage gimmick. Not sure what I can do about it while retaining the current damage size :/

They seem nice and stuff... but somehow they tend to explode... at least at my ship. if i give 3 or more consecutive seconds of thrust at least on of the big ones blows up...

That's kinda the point. These are supposed to be cheat engines. For a 30,000 ton ship, I'd probably recommend using the small thrusters (which are more controllable).

um, dude, I have just two of the large engines under a 30,000 ton ship and the thing is stupidly overpowered, I mean the slightest tap on the control sends the entire thing shooting up at maximum velocity, (with speed mod!).
