Part of my inspiration for my maps come from Nipper's (I think that's the guy you are talking about) abstract/surreal maps, actually.

This reminds me of a very very VERY VERY VERY old map on counter strike that takes you on a abstart adventure. Very trippy map. I think he made like 3 too.
