On terms of copyright, I'm fairly sure this falls under the "fair use" clause in at least parody. The most important thing to consider is that the work is transformative - which this certainly is. Using a famous voice and changing the tone to fit a post-apoc steampunk setting is definitely something that changes the original work almost entirely. This can even be sold in the shop as anything that falls under fair use can also be sold. Think of it like sampling in music. At least, those are my two cents.

That's a good point, and something we thought about too, Bubbles. I think as long as we're not using images, names, or anything else that actually contains the identity of a copyrighted character, we're in the clear. People have used voices for parody in many cartoons, games, and other forms of media, often being much more blatant by mirroring appearances as well, so I think it would be protected as parody. I can look into it a bit more though; the last thing I want to do is bankrupt you guys. I have a couple friends who studied law at Columbia, I'll ask them about it.

@lordjackal, thanks for the awesome work! While we're fan of Hermit the Grog, we're also wondering if this violates any copyrights? We usually are extra careful with this and want to make sure. Thanks again!
