Oh right, I never updated it the Extended Timeline version after the new launcher f***ed up all mods.

I could give it a go and see if it works now.

Biwley: It will definitely happen. The new launcher in 1.29 f***ed up the way mods work, so I'll need to figure out how to redo a few things.

Any chance of a direct download link for 1.25 / ET 1.71 ? I do not know why I have so much trouble downloading mods via the subscribe method. Ive google searched it, ive read where they should be but never have I ever got a single mod to download in this fashion. Apologies and thanks even just for reading.

F&B's dip.txt is just naval attrition from being at sea removal (since AI cheats with it), so you could just delete this file - or move "reduced_naval_attrition = yes" to the first possible dip tech.

For 00_core.txt the only tweaks to institution spread speed, but I'm not even sure it makes sense for ET either way (and I meant to re-rebalance those tweaks for vanilla anyway), so that's quite deletable too.

Seems to make the game more laggy, freezes for a few seconds at the end of each month for me. Disabling it makes no lag. :steamsad: . Not sure why.

Looks like your changes work for now. 8 diplomatic limit. Still 10% tech penalty and 999 monarch cap, but I am assuming you disabled that for this version. So this load order works but your institution file is overwritten, which is okay for now.

I might do the order for now:
Idea variation ET addon>This mod>Extended timeline> Idea variation.

So I would add the dependency in the Idea variation ET addon for this mod so it can overwrite just to be sure. When you come back online we can talk :)

If you have extra time maybe you can take a look at the idea variation mod and ET addon to see if it would be easy to make a patch for.

Sorry if I am bothering you. It is just that your mod really has some nice changes, but Idea variation has lots of cool ideas and changes that it is hard to give it up. If you make it I will trade my whole inventory to you. :steamhappy:

The Idea variation mod author made a patch for ET. But the idea variation mod also makes other changes too. From what I can see they both edit 00_core in institutions, dip.txt in technologies, and some other similarities. So although they both work with ET I dont think they would work with eachother :P

Cody712: ET itself replaces idea groups with its own, so I don't think it's compatible with idea mods.

Fun and Balance doesn't currently have any idea group changes, so if your idea mod works with ET, it should work with this too.

Looks like it edits some of the same things Idea variation does. :steamsad: I really wanted to use this mod, but idea variation is really good too.

Would you consider making a patch for idea variation+ ET addon? :)

Some of these changes look cool, like no truce scaling and no diplomatic limit. Hopefully compatible with the idea variation mod because I am using that. I will look at the files tomorrow.

thanks,i didnt read the part which said fun and balance has less things because some of them arent needed but... do you know if it is possible to use this mod on an alraedy saved game? because it looks like a cool mod to use but i dont want start a new Multiplayer:v anyway thanks for the mod

Silvestru: It's mostly balancing changes. The most obvious one is significantly higher relationship limit. I probably need to write a new post explaining all the changes and reasoning behind them.

im using this mod on ET but i can't see any difference (i'm vikings at 900AD) . do i have to wait more for the changes to take place?

Doctortsm12: Are you using proper versions of everything? (EU4 1.24.1, Extended Timeline 1.6.5). Using wrong version combination will crash.

If you're getting a crash, what kind of error messages are you getting in game logs? (My Documents/Paradox Interactive/Europa Universalis IV/logs/error.log)

This mod makes the game crash. I've tried loading it by itself and with extended timeline and it, and extended timeline by itself, and everything except solo ET crashes.

Nutluck: Yeah, every new patch takes a bit for mods to update. Game launcher even helpfully tells you which mods are incompatible.

Ok I as playing around and this mod will cause a crash. If you click on the icon in the upper left to let you build troops, buildings, ships, etc it will crash the game everytime sadly. Hopefully it won't be to hard to fix
