@ServTechnic MES settings are stored in Config files in a subfolder where your save is. It differentiates between Space/Planetary ships, in the config files are settings like "MinPathDistanceFromPlayer" that you can increase. Don't forget to increase "MaxPathDistanceFromPlayer" accordingly as well, they should clamp the desired distance with some margins.

Hey, so we installed this mod (Independent Contractors) with friends and honestly it's very cool, much more NPC to interact with... but im not sure if there is a setting or we dont get something

EVERY game NPC find us and bombard us, and im not talking like big base with antenas, im talking literally start of the game, like first 30 min or so... at some point we spawned in space to roam around, and found huge hollow asteroid without any antenas or beacons... one of the just found us, crashed into asteroid and started draining energy undtil we died....

like how do they find us? or how to make them spawn a bit further away? becuase if we move away they spawn nearby and just come to us... any help pls? (we have some other mods like EEM and Reavers but only this one keeps on causing like camping)

You might try going into the game save file and enabling random encounters and cargo ships there. MES takes control of these features and turns them off so that the games regular spawns don't also occur.

I had this issue myself in the past and modifying the game save file then reloading seemed to give MES the kick in the pants in needed to start spawning again.

Hi! Can you help me please? I have stopped comparing ships and only the bases of the "Imber" and "Parallax" and "Junk" factions appear. I have downloaded quite a lot of mods for NPCs in the open world. I have survival in on Earth. Previously, ships appeared extremely often. Not right now. I noticed it a long time ago, but I waited and waited, but the ships never appeared. Maybe this is due to tm that I have too many NPC mods? Or... well, I turn on the random cargo ships mode and another mode for the appearance of random encounters in the advanced settings of the world, I enter the world and as I exit, these two settings are deleted. Or are there too many ships in the world that I knocked out but did not completely destroy and the limit on NPCs does not give a chance for new ships to appear? What should I do to make ships appear in the world again?

@Into That's pretty strong gravity. I don't think INC ships uses blocks with improved performance when an npc-faction owns it (like IMB or PLX), and I know for a fact that several of the larger ships are nerfed. Conveyors are broken in one or more places by exra batteries or something so it's not obvious. As long as the H2 gennies and smaller tanks can provide it stays in the air, but eventually they will crash (usually on it's nose).

Each encounter that can spawn in gravity has a MaxGravity check it does, so under normal circumstances if they can spawn they should be able to handle the gravity. If that's not the case, then its likely another mod is affecting power or thrust ability that throws those numbers off.

Ships just crash down onto the planet. Which could have various reasons on my world, as it has quite a few mods. But at first, how well are ships dealing with 1.4g?

There a setting for these guys you can tweak to make them react to players that are further away?
We have weaponcore installed on the server, so engagement ranges can go out to 10k.

We have the AI weapon replace mod installed, so IF an enemy ship has long range weapons, those weapons will shoot, but the AI ship itself will just float there getting shot at unless it happens to get with in 2kish (i think) of a player grid

The mod added a lot of Incon on planet earth and attacking me random with drones (early game) without interacting with them. Can i change settings somewhere were they don't attack that fast or less aggressive?

Did this mod update recently? Did it change the handling of Remote Controls? For whatever reason when I jump back into the game, my Clanging Gremlin tries to fly off without me. The remote activates intermitently with corrupted settings (try to fly somewhere @ 18m/s) and all engines including those on docked ships turns on. Luckily it doesn't unlock gears/connectors and turn on gyros.

Of course, it could be something I have done. At first I suspected the AutoThrottle script that I added recently, but that PB is turned off when not needed. I even tried loading another script in it's place and remove the PB entirely. I have also improved the clanging by bolting on various stuff with subgrids (custom turret/workbench, robot arm and more).

Or maybe INC just want their Gremlin back?

I've noticed in my games that while on earth I'm encountering a LOT (like nothing but) INCON faction which is always red. Add to that, they spread while i'm playing, (so like there will be one 10 km away and then I turn around and there's another station only 3km away. I don't know if this is a bug or if this is just normal but it's concerning.

While setting up a world I had to troubleshoot an issue that caused the game to crash consistently and I traced it to the Harpy. Every time I delete it via ctrl-x or entity list gives a crash.

I did a little more testing and it appears the old weapons from before warfare 2 work fine and the new ones don't shoot at all.

I am running into the same problem as BlackbirdM3, but I think an interior turret killed me when I was investigating one in survival. No 100% guarantee on that though.

So im running into a issue were both IMBER and INCON faction are not shooting at anyone. Friend or foe i fly past the them and they dont shot at all. The drones will fly around me but wont shot. Any ideas or suggestion. Pravda Heavy Industries, Imber Corporation and Independent Contractors are the only mods that add factions to my server. Also got the NPC weapon upgrades. Any help would be appreciate.

can we only have regular spawns of things coming after us if we manage to touch a ship rather than whenever we're targeted by the damn things because i spawned, got a drive by, and have been bunkering down for the last 20 hours

when we came close to the Harpy when she crashed on our planet we started losing our energy like you said but then when we got too close we started getting hurt without being shot at and then it started hurting us more further out and was expanding

In this mod, the inhibitors will not harm players, but they will drain suit energy. Other mods do have variants that drain health.

@Authors - Why not make inhibitors in the form of separate blocks, destroying which you can capture the ship? Now this is possible only after the complete destruction of power. As a result, the interest of capturing disappears, because there is practically nothing left.

@Gemini Sierra It's not a mod issue - it's a SE issue. In the same way, NPCs of vanilla factions can freeze. If you exit and enter the game, then the ships usually start moving.

been noticing that the ships in this mod and INCON will interact. This is cool. But after the interaction, one or both ships will just hang in space (I'm playing on the moon at this time) instead of flying on and/or despawning. I was going to use the discord, but not sure where to ask about it there.

My server on g portal will not boot up with this mod. All of your other NPC mods load in. I am not using any other NPC mods but yours. Any advice?

any ideas on how to become uninvincible after encountering one of the npc ships? and no i didn't turn on what i call cheat mode lol (admin controls). i died while in the range of one of the suppression fields, re-spawned in said field, which i didn't have a choice i was in a fight for my life lol. and now i cant die and my health bar says NaN and is at zero lol. its not going to ruin things for me so ill drive on but idk if i should do a bug report technically. o i also cant re-spawn,kinda wish this would have happened on a pvevp server lol.

The Server cant start with this Mod.

There was a mod on the workshop that disabled the inhibitors, but sadly it appears to have been pulled from the workshop, no idea why. It's kinda sad that we cannot play our single player games like we want, with the option to have the inhibitors on or off as we want in our single player games.
