Actually, if you can mine asteroids in reality, not only you increase technology but also (we end global debt) economy, basically. Only small size of a van be worth roughly a billion. You can tone the income for the game of course, just theirs profit in them space rocks.

Doesn't really do much. i got the Rare earth metal shortage issue, had a thriving space agency so on that turn i enacted this policy to maximum, and nothing really changed. even when fully enacted. even with the vanilla rare earth mining policy that didn't really do much either. two elections later and i still had the rare metal issue and no sign of it getting any better for the foreseeable future. any chance for a small buff to this policy? make it more effective.

Do You have a link for manual installation?
I bought the game on GOG so I am not allowed to install this or any other mods from the workshop.
It would be very kind of you if you would reply or PM me.
Thank you and have a nice day.

How does it lower unemployment too much? Making space mining a reality would employ a ton of people for construction, design, scientists, pilots, etc.

lowers unemployment waaaay to much

Can REC be avoided by having preventive Asteroid mining or REMM?
Heliotrope 24 Aug, 2015 @ 8:08am
Looking at your pictures, I see you just have the Low, Medium, and high things for the slider, I was wondering if you could add custom slider names? Like maybe expedinary satallites to a fully manned asteroid mining facility. If you already have, sorry I havent tested the mod yet. But thanks for this mod anyway I always wanted asteroid mining!

Because they would feel it isn't right and it's "gods will" for us to not have any REMs

Ok, well make it so it anger's no one, why would people in religion's get angry?
Jonassm  [author] 22 Jul, 2015 @ 11:47am
I disagree with both parts. Enviourmentalists in democracy 3 are more focused on the earth and that enviourment, not space. Foreign Relations i would say that when you come to a point where asteroid mining is a vital part of human survival, a new outer space treaty would have been made. The 1968 outer space treaty was more so the Russians or the Americans couldn't go on the moon and build a giant moon base with nuclear weapons.
Barbarossa 22 Jul, 2015 @ 11:08am
It might be better if it were to make environmentalists angry (because it's "tainting" or "damaging" the last untouched environment (space)) and/or forgein relations because they have envy of your space program (and the 1968 outer space treaty)

Wow, that is true Trajan, i did not think about that. I'm currently on holiday; i'll deploy a hotfix when i come home. I meant to make it so religious groups dislike this, not less membership.
Barbarossa 21 Jul, 2015 @ 9:12pm
WOW, this mod make's people in religion want to leave their religions? How?

This also decrease capitalist opinion. If this is state-run asteroid mining, (because of the public employees gain) It could impede capitalist operations.

I also think you should have a capitalist version instead like "Private Asteroid Mining" which improves capitalists instead of public employees and is a lot cheaper too.
