Tiretracker 18 Jan, 2022 @ 4:56pm
Tried and failed to find a good map that looks like a TF2 new york financial district, so I guess I can use these to make my own.

Oh wow, took me a second to notice them. Great work!
Sututiv 3 May, 2020 @ 1:33pm
Truely amazing models. I made this using the buildings https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2083770117

It's been ages since I've used the roads. There is a "high" bone on the road. Lock the low/root bone of one road to the high bone of another, and then One/Zero the locked bone into position.
vladix 20 Aug, 2018 @ 5:01am
How do you chain the roads? Using that method doesn't seem to be working. Also, do you have a divider that can be used to separate lanes?

I wonder why the backs of the buildings are transparent
SevRev 29 Oct, 2017 @ 1:22pm
Cheers mate!
Astute  [author] 29 Oct, 2017 @ 1:06pm
It's been ported, follow the GMod link in the description.
SevRev 29 Oct, 2017 @ 11:06am
Gmod port please?
vvsilly 23 May, 2017 @ 2:05am
That helped a lot. Thank you so much.
Astute  [author] 22 May, 2017 @ 6:06pm
After toying around with these models a bit in SFM, there is a super easy way to make the windows transparent, and you can do it entirely in SFM.

1. In the Animation Set Editor, Right click the building model and Add Override Materials.
2. Right click the building again, Show in Element Viewer -> Model
3. At the bottom, expand materials, and then expand "bui_euro_window1"
4. Right click "bui_euro_window1", Add Attribute -> float
5. Rename newAttribute to $alpha
6. Your windows will turn completely transparent. Change the value of $alpha from 0 to 0.8.

You can now tweak this $alpha value (between 0.0 and 1.0) to change how transparent the windows are.
vvsilly 22 May, 2017 @ 4:15pm
hey, can you make windows dark-transparent? they're just opaque, and I have some issues with lighting.
Yeah, I can remove them at all, but this is not a decision.
Astute  [author] 10 Feb, 2017 @ 2:14pm
Sure, go ahead.
QueenKateyy 10 Feb, 2017 @ 8:33am
Can i use them in a SFM Vidio ?
Baron 10 Dec, 2016 @ 9:50am
ok , thanks anyway :D
Astute  [author] 10 Dec, 2016 @ 9:32am
A chainlink fence? I'm not sure if I'll be able to get to that anytime soon. I know there are a few TF2-styled chain link fences on 2Fort. You might be able to use one of those in the meantime.
Baron 10 Dec, 2016 @ 12:22am
could you maybe make a chainlink fence in this style? also im doing some scene building for some artwork mostly using this , ill remember to crediit you! this is great
SiRoN 16 Sep, 2016 @ 10:23pm
how about making for Hammer Editor?
GentlemanFox1991 8 Nov, 2015 @ 2:42pm
Epic man, the only thing that is missing is that... if someone wanted to make a intersection, it would be difficult since they'll need the road itself minus the sidewalk... just an idea for a later day :\ aside from that, again... Epic.
Super Ninja Fat 1 Oct, 2015 @ 9:10pm
Amazing! There needs to be more props like these!
Buffhunks 4 Jul, 2015 @ 6:45pm
Holy fuck, these look ten outta ten. Good job, definitely will be using them for my sfm stuff.
Rektum 2 Jun, 2015 @ 10:48pm
Thank you, it is very much Appreciated Astute.
Astute  [author] 2 Jun, 2015 @ 10:38am
@Leon, I've drastically reduced the size of the submission by carefully trimming the textures down and recompressing them using different algorithms. Hopefully cutting the file size by more than half should fix the problem.

I made these buildings using Blender. They are simply props with duplicated windows/doors and repeating textures. Most of the texture work is simple brick, stone, and noise textures simplified in Photoshop.
Rektum 1 Jun, 2015 @ 10:41pm
Can i also ask what you made these with? if not already said of course,
Rektum 1 Jun, 2015 @ 10:40pm
Thank you Astute, i hope your hardware issues get resolved soon.

( BTW ) i forgot to say, this prop pack does look great :D
MarshallDrifter 1 Jun, 2015 @ 5:15pm
You are a god among SFM 3d modelers! The community needed props like these for the longest time! Now scenebuilders aren't so limited!
Astute  [author] 1 Jun, 2015 @ 10:40am
@Leon, That's not a bad idea, though I would like to try something first. Perhaps I can slim down this submission to fit in under the 100mb limit by downrezing a few of the textures. Maybe then you'll be able to get it from the workshop. If that doesn't work, I'll look into a suitable upload site.

That said, I do not have access to any of my files or tools at the moment. I'm currently away from the workshop due to hardware issues.
Hampter 1 Jun, 2015 @ 9:25am
Thank you so much for posting these! I have a map I need to build for an animation I want to create since I can't find anything that suits what I'm trying to do, and these will be perfect for it!
Umbrella 1 Jun, 2015 @ 6:55am
Yus! Thank u so much 4 that mah boi.
Rektum 1 Jun, 2015 @ 2:51am
hey man, did what you said, to no avail though :/

i know it's a long shot, but couldy ou upload this to a different website, so i can download it from there? ( and anyone else who ahs the same problem as i )

like, mediafire or something.

-Leon
Rektum 31 May, 2015 @ 2:47am
ok, Thank you, ill give it a shot.
Astute  [author] 30 May, 2015 @ 11:57pm
@Leon, After doing some reading, it appears that some users experience an SFM crash when downloading files greater than 100 mb. It seems this submission came it right over the that amount.

Why would it crash? I have no clue. There doesn't seem to be a solid solution on the web, but a good place to start would be verifying the integrity of SFM's cache.
Rektum 30 May, 2015 @ 10:32pm
whenever i try to download this my sfm crashes to dekstop
イーです 30 May, 2015 @ 3:32pm
