Just checked, wasn't killing Spitter and nothing else spawned except Tank. I think Tank and Witch don't count in the limits, but other SI do.
May be you have this issue on some specific map?

Not sure why, but we're still getting multiple SI at a time when we play.
Tried through a dedicated im hosting, as well as a local server.

Crash should be fixed. It wasn't a mutation fault but I found a workaround on the Source wiki.
Challenge fully works, just tested.

Still waiting for the issue with the L4D1 maps to be addressed. ɢʟɨȶȶɛʀʏ քɛǟʀ ฅ noted this issue back in 2019.

Played with a friend the zombie spawn rate is half just as advertised same with tank/witch hp
but we keep getting multiple special infected at a time which makes it extremely difficult at times

This is impossible.
To play this mutation with a friend you need both to be subscribed to this addon. Also, if your friend still can't connect to you, ask him to re-start the game, so game downloads and installs addons.

i just go on mutation and it fucking delete almost of mutation modes

Seems to cause my friend to crash, missing weapons error, we tried with only one addon enabled, being the mutation.

ok you know what? singleplayer is a nightmare. i wont be able to make it out i already wasted my time on trying. but it was good but there are so many other mods too.

its funny. it is a good way to practice. if you play all solo. only one infected. i love it. and i am not one of the pro players here!

no other mods or addons needed. you just subscribe to it. run l4d2. wait for it to sync your addons. go to menu Mutations. select this mutation and create a lobby to play
