Did anyone ever pick up this mod? Looks pretty cool, but probably outdated given it's 5 years old?

Hi, @MexPex
I would like to revive this MOD and use your graphics, boost the armor value, and add additional MOD components to build it.
I will create 2 sets, one working and with all stock, and one for our server with custom things...

Thank you for all your work, we love it.

I used (and loved) this mod for a LONG time but the recent multiplayer mod utterly broke it. Hopefully it gets repaired soon.

Shame these don't seem to be able to be given edges, it makes them not cooperate with vanilla armor too well.

@Mexpex: can I use a part of your mod (Hightech and Reinforced Blocks) for a kind of Block-Pack-Mod? I wish to make a mod which contains super light blocks, concrete blocks and your hightech blocks with some balancing and a new component.
Would really appreciate it and give credit to you of course.

At least the DeformationRatio is a lot smaller: 0.1 for Hightech and 0.07 for Reinforced Hightech (0.4 for standard heavy armor.

@Mexpex I just did my own comparison and found that the reinforced hightech armor block withstands and deforms identically to the vanilla heavy armor block. If i remember right isn't it supposed to be around 5 times stronger than the heavy armor, is this a glitch or something?

I'd still love to see a full set of the mirrored blocks. Having all the standard shapes would be pretty sweet.

I would like to report that at least the slopes and corners of the reinforced high tech armor are NOT DX11, that said this is still an awesome mod.

Going to try this mod out. I want to make my ships as light as possible, and here is the main problem I see. If you want a pressurized interior you have to load up on solid blocks that add a ton of weight to your ship. Can you make some that are less strong, but much lighter. Many of my ships I really don't care about armor that much as I play mostly single player.

They've (Keen) increased both the cost and health/durability of the vanilla heavy armor... I'm going to make my own comparisons, but does anyone else have opinions on the matter for how they now compare to the hightech armor?

Fixed! Thanks Mexpex, everything is working great in DX 9. Here's an example of the color issue I mentioned...here's the DX 9 version: http://i.imgur.com/CDThPJ7.jpg -- the colors of the blast windows (using the revamped version) and of the cube blocks is the same -- I can pick color from one and paint to the other.

Here's the same scene in DX11: http://i.imgur.com/4kDNpS7.jpg -- the cube armor appears almost black.

Ive found the issue... apperently the same issue i had when working with the new blocks yesterday, DX9 dosnt support the BC7 compression for textures.

Will update within 15-30 :)

I am having the same issue with this pack which is unfortunate as i have used it extensively throughout my 31k + block and growing warship, no covered in white/ non textured blocks. love your mod, really hoping to get it working again. its all the blocks from this mod, to include the mirrored, the hi tech and the reinforced. i run in DX9. any solutions that dont involve rebuilding said ship brick by brick would be hugely appreciated, thanks mate and again, love your work.

I have the same issue as serialjwalker -- the cube blocks show up as solid white no texture in DX9. I tested in DX11 and they show up correctly textured but are much darker than their original color (now appear black, where I have them colored a grey that matches the color of the Titan Engine mod). Interestingly, if I pick the color (shift-P) and then paint a different block (like the revamped blast windows) the color appears dark grey again.

I just noticed that on the floor block the grey and black parts of the textures are reverse in DX11. So what is black in DX9 is grey in DX11 and what is grey in DX9 is black in DX11. Is this intended?

No problem found in dx9 or 11 when testing the new blocks.

Added Reinforced block versions: Corner, Inv Corner, Slope (Small/Large)

They have a slightly different design compared to the Cube version but they look solid.

I don't suppose you'd be inclined to make a full set of the mirrored blocks? After playing around with them a bit I've fallen in love with having them as a 'decorative' armor covering along my ship and would love to have the full range of shapes like light armor; assuming it is even possible.

UPDATE!
Fix: Purple/pink blocks.

Change: Mirror Armor renamed to Mirror Plate (Experimental DX11). Test it in DX11 and see for your self :) Ive done some tweaks to the _ng texture to give it the mirror effect. Hopefully we get real mirroring instead of the current cube map...

Tech related
All dx11 textures have been recompressed with BC7 codec. Some quality improvements but the compressor i used lacks in Image Filtering options when creating mipmaps.

Mod Status: Not done any update due to lack of time. But im almost finished with InvCorner, Corner and Slope for the Reinforced armor block :) Soooon

For those that can't wait because of ugly pink blocks all over your ship - if you delete the following textures all of the heavy armor blocks will function correctly:

HTSquare_de.dds
HTTriangle_de.dds
HTTriangleLR_de.dds

On the other hand, the mirror block needs a texture remake or further investigation because it does not match the way it is depicted in your images. The center "mirror" plate is not colorable.

The problem is with the dx9 textures of this mod. You can not use both a _de and _me texture at the same time. Its one or the other, not both. This is why this bug is appearing.

If you look at your reinforced or floorgrip blocks, they properly use only one _me texture and hence do not have this issue and appear properly in the game under dx9.

Yes same here about the pink/magenta color. Can't change the color of the block. This happend right after installing the latest update. I've noticed it on all the heavy armor blocks. Reinforced seemed ok.

I wonder what was in the latest patch that would cause this mod to have this problem....
