Came back to skyrim after a long break and had totally forgotten about this mod.
A dragon spawned at Riverwood, just after starting a new game, that there is immersion, i nearly had to find a clean pair of jocks ;D.
It also gave me a quick refresher with console commands... player.additem "bulk arrows"

Just wanted to come back here and share my love for this mod by saying I near sh*t myself when I experienced my first dragon fly-over after installing this mod. I was level 4, about a kilometer west of Whiterun's western watchtower. Thank you for this.

Great mod....but....a dragon spawning inside of gloombound mine is a bit unrealistic, and impossible to fight.It wouldn't even be able to fit in the door. It flies around in the void outside the level, mostly. But it still manages to kill all the actors.My hunch is the game is improperly allowing it to follow you into interior areas.

I ran into a problem with this mod while using Dragonbane, If I hit the dragon it said that the "resisted Dragon Damage" any ideas on how to fix this?

@Melletch I did that exact thing, if you look at my other mod Balanced Smithing and Armor values I improved all NPC's armor and increased melee damage output for both the player and all NPC's
once I get the dragon battle working again, I will try to make a version that is lite as you have asked

You need to make it BETTER than whatever human shape you gave the scales and claws. :D Joking, of course. The idea of better armor and damage for a dragon makes it better than larger health bars on the vanilla difficulties. But I would want to be able to opt out some times.
Honestly, if you wanted a more realistic and better difficulty system, you might as well create a mod or two which just ups every opponents armor and damage to make it less of an unrealistic health exhaustion game. Thoughts for future projects perhaps.
But yeah, instant dragon start up which skips main quest activators, increased dragon frequency, and dragon scale armor and bone sword stats are probably better served if customizable as three mods in a collection.

Sorry, I did not specify. And nothing is jumping out at me right now. My memory is fuzzy on what I liked about your mod. :D But did not want with the other stuff. ;)

I think I would like it if you could have the waiting time for dragon attacks shut down so we get more attacks at random times. And the indiscriminate slaughter might be the good real part too, along with it being more common event.

But it was the initial activation out of all of this and maybe the armor and dmg at the end which made me realize I would want neither and both at different times of my experience. Others might too. Preempting the dragons in the world is immersion breaking. Having more dragons at the end of the world is exciting. Getting a missing fire dragon would be something I don't want to miss out on. While fighting a dragon with high armor and damage equal to what you can make is so blatantly unrealistic...

@Melletch you'll have to be more specific about what you want separated from the rest

There are some things I like in this, some I don't. Might ask for a break up of these features. Other mods often are better off sticking to some of the ideas than all. There are a few things that if seperated might suit the customization of my playthrough better. Perhaps you might consider splitting up these features in a few edited copies of this mod.

Got ambushed by 2 dragons on the next day after killing one with my PCat lvl 2. The first dragon was just flying around doing air attacks and the second was glitching out on the ground, not attacking anything, hahahahahaha. Anybody else get that?

In answer to some of the previous comments, don't think of this mod as a cheat to get more dragons to kill. Think of it as a fix to stop you from visiting all the outdoor word walls before the dragons can spawn. Admiti it - you've all been tempted to try that.

Those puzzles are all ridiculously easy. Finding the tiny secret door buttons in Eye of the Beholder was harder.

Not been able to see any increase in dragons, do I need to change a setting? Installed this before my first play through on Skyrim for PC. I managed to complete the golden claw quest with the mod enabled.

@The Tragic King are you saying that you have experienced a bug with the golden claw quest using this mod or are you speculating? the quest should not be affected by this mod

A side note, disable this mod when you go to obtain the dragon claw for Lucan, because the boss won't spawn and quest won't progress with it (since you can't obtain the dragonstone and "learn the secrets of bleak falls barrow). Then again, if you do that quest, then you pretty much can go without this mod, since you just need to head to whiterun and kill a scripted dragon spawn.

there are timers now to prevent dragon spamming
dragons themselves have a small boost to make them more... logical?
and now, if you have completed the main quest, there is a chance to meet friendly dragons or even have them assist you in battle
and please, no more bobs
