REALLY HOPE that this gets properly updated one day since it helps compliment the crossbow (or whatever replacement mod you have for it) so damn well after all. :erune:

At some point it just makes no difference how long the laser is, for some reason. I think the viewmodels are rendered "on top" of what you see, so no matter how long you will make it, it will always look kinda "flat" if you know what I mean.

It's not really possible, if such things could be done with mods it could give players an unfair advantage in deathmatch. Thankyou tho

Maybe the screenshots (and video ) are outdated but, that's not a real laser ?! This is just a ""fake laser"", red line on the gun model ? Am I right ?


And again, I don't downloaded the addon, 'cause I'm lazy ;) and I'm very sorry If it's actually a REAL laser (that's not just a part of the model).

I'm gonna give it another try since some data seemed to slightly break my game with flickering and other stuff, maybe that was a problem conflicting with this skin

I had started a new game after the update. When I recieved the Magnum in Office Complex, it was the HECU hands again, although it went away at the end of the chapter.

I'll have to update the model again anyway to acomodate for the new zombie and guard hands. We'll see it your glitch still prevails.

Does this happen when loading an old save? BMS devs reported that a simliar glich (although with zombie hands instead) happens when loading games from before the last update. I'll try to replicate this in the meantime somehow

Updating again. Turns out it happens at random now. Was replaying the campaign and gave myself the magnum for simplicity. Turns out the viewmodel switch happened again. screenshoted it this time however. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=463402670 I've tested the magnum earlier while being unsubscribed, and it only happens with this add-on.

Interestingly, when I went back to replicate the glitch, it didn't happen. The glitch happened right before the final survival sequence before teleporting to Xen, the chamber that decomtaminates you switched the viewmodel arms. This is the only addon I have changing the magnum, and again, it's only happened at this one part. However, it's not happening again. I don't know what caused that at all, but just a heads up for the future if it happens to anyone else. It wasn't enough to put me off the addon however. Also of note, I didn't unsubscribe from it either. Must have been a fluke.

For now, there are no viewmodel switches. If it happens again I'll take a screenshot of the occurance.

My viewmodel hands changed from the hev suit to the HECU grunt hans from multiplayer when I arrived at Lambda Core. It only happen in this chapter. Anyway to fix?

Works as a scope in hl deathmatch, but looks like a laser sight, old games lack logic, and have lots of enjoyment...

@fury most likely a laser pointer attachment instead of a scope, because in HL1:DM the revolver actually has the same alternate use as the crossbow, that it can zoom in for some reason that is the laser pointer and it makes no sense at all :l

Well, it does zoom when you mouse2, that's one change in behaviour between sp and mp .357 apart from the attachment, so I guess someone took a guess and though it was somehow supposed to work as scope, because laser sights in video games dont usually do that, do they?
So to avoid arguing pointlessly about that in the comments, I included both interpretations in the title so that everyone could be happy. I'm not sure if I should keep it or not tho

no, it does not act like a scope in any way. Low poly or not, there is no possible way you could mistake that for a scope.

Well, to be fair it does act like a scope, and the original model is so low-poly it leaves a lot for the imagination. But you're right, I should probably change the title so that it doesn't confuse anyone.

@mushroom it's under the barrel, and it's not really a scope, it's more of a laser sight. I only wrote it's a scope because thats what Combine OverWiki says about it, but I have no idea how would you even look through that thing
