So if you have Neurotec micro/ Neurotec, these will be under the Micro Naval tab to use? Is that correct?

Hey everyone, just wanted to make a quick announcement: I'll start working on WoWS ports again very soon. I will also create a steam group so i can keep everyone updated and take suggestions for what ships to port.

New steam group is up! https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/groups/KillStuffs

K XD. Just wanted to know

As i have explained several times before, the collision model of these ships is as complex as possible without making the game shit itself. If i make a convex collision model around the ship so it feels "solid", you wouldn't be able to grab and rotate the turrets with the physgun because they would be inside the ship collision mesh. And if i ever attempted to create a concave collision mesh (that is, creating it entirely from scratch), then the compiler would tell me to fuck off due to how incredibly complex it would be.

About the ship interiors, you should know that i don't make these models myself, they are just ports from a different game (World of Warships in this case). Also think about the complexity of the models: the Warspite battleship has like 160k polygons. Multiply that by 5 if you want a detailed interior, which obviously Gmod can't handle.

I liked the idea of this but, I hated it. Could you like make a version (or versions of the ones you have done) that are solid and have an interior? I know you can do that w/ these props, and I would like to see that (well, at least I think you could). But mostly could you make it solid? I don't like how you just fall through, just doesn't seem right and makes it hard to do anything on the ship that isn't realted to doing scenes or what not.

Ever considered doing the famous German war machine, KMS Bismarck?
PizTheSkunk 19 Jun, 2015 @ 2:46am
you should do the HMS Ark royal Aircraft carrier
Bleary 16 Jun, 2015 @ 10:42am
Isn't Chikuma supposed to be a heavy cruiser?
Normally Nod 13 Jun, 2015 @ 7:50am
Yamamoto the super battleship of Japan?

I'm using Cra0kalo's patched studiomdl which allows for more complex models to be compiled, but even then it just doesn't want to compile them unless i make the collision model really simple. And no, i won't model a custom collision model from scratch for each ship.

Then use Crowbar instead. I'm not sure if it'll actually help but it's allowed me to do whatever to this point.
Ameisin  [author] 12 Jun, 2015 @ 8:11am
I won't make them "walkable" because i can barely compile the models with their current collision mesh. If i add more detail studiomdl won't allow me to compile them whatsoever.
Ambahtawōdanas 12 Jun, 2015 @ 7:32am
You make them walkable.
Because all of your models arent walkable.
Thanks in advance
