why does the game have no sound effects

I have moved on from game maker to more serious development tools (Java & LWJGL, C++ & DX11 etc.).I kind of want to remake this game as a better version thought.

Youre still working on this?, the game deserves better background and other stuff.

Awesome game man, ive been looking to make a fighter game, but all the tutorials i could find are way out dated. do you think you could make a guide of sorts?

okay, well, it's still REALLY hard to program GameMaker and you did a great job!

I did not make the sprites, those are from sprite-database, but everything else is done by me. I'm a programmer not an artist :)

Great game, really! I think you could make your own characters with 3 moves each! I know how hard it is to make games, but really, great game! 1000000/10 stars! Games like these are really hard to make so just wow! I'm surprised if you did all pixel art and coding alone!

@Ni0K I use Sprite-database, it has way more sprites, but thanks anyways.
@Alien I looked but found no fitting sprite sheets for Kirito. Characters from new and/or unpopular animes will be hard to add since there is no existing games with their characters.

Add Kirito From Sword art online, it would be amazing

I haven't tried online multiplayer yet, however this engine look VERY superb. Very nice AI system going on. I was honestly caught off guard when I first played by how good the AI was, very impressive. I noticed a couple of bugs with the health bar going into the negatives but other than that everything else looks really good.

Let me see, most of those have no platformer spritesheets, so I'll pass on them for now. However Son Goku is in the works, and I'll probably add Sephiroth, but not yet, since he is more of a boss character, and bosses require some solid groundwork first.

haha nice :D if you're not focusing on other things then adding new characters at the moment i'd have some more suggestions:
- Harry Potter ( or Gandalf or anything with magic lol)
- Son Goku
- Cloud
- Sephiroth
- Maybe Sora / Riku etc if you played Kingdom Hearts :)

Nice work dude :D If it wouldnt be too much work maybe you could add a Pikachu as fighter , even if it doesnt match to the other chars :D X could be thundershock and normal attack something with his tail , if you find matching sprites :)
