From a road geek this is brilliantly designed. No clue if it exists in real life but it vaguely reminds me of a pinavia interchange. Everything is just very well spaced and looks like it handles heavy traffic well. Very well done Employee 432. Cheers :steamhappy:

If we were able to setup more precise turning lanes, this would be perfect for even heavier traffic. It does work great for lighter traffic loads however and has pretty good flow when theres not always a car stopped on the highway trying to turn into another lane. Wonder if the Devs would ever fix that if they knew just how bad it gets on very busy roads.

I know what you mean, trifurcating the highway means that you need plenty of space before the interchange for traffic to switch lanes. I can create another asset with all right hand side exits. Thanks for the input.

I downloaded this and used it in my own city, in two places. The first did ok. But the second one, not so much. My city has about 60,000 so far, half of which live in and around downtown. The interchange connected the elevated downtown loop from the south up to the main east-west highway. Well, most of the jobs are in the east, so I had a lot of traffic coming from the west and south. The main problem i seemed to notice was that though less cars came from the west, they would disperse across all three lanes, and, for some reason, were given priority over the ones coming from the south, so the downtown loop backed up like crazy because no one could get out. I eventually fixed it kinda by letting the loop highway enter onto either side, and it works fine, except for that one spot. So i guess users be warned: it has a hard time handling traffic merging.

Thanks Feanor, my prelim testing was pretty positive, although I may release a v2 when I get a chance, there are a few things I might tweak. It's got better throughput than a full diamond, but is larger, and less throughput than a stack, but is smaller. It handles all the interchanges I have in my city so I haven't been able to find the breaking point. And it would be great to get someone else's testing.
