Luckily English isn't a confusing language at all. :P

Guess I'll play Freddie Mercury

I thought about flying stands, but the way TTS handles non-convex models means sometimes they'd fall through terrain - or if you tried to stack ones that could go over other minis.
And I don't have any idea about scripting in TTS. Putting buttons on a mini to add/remove 5' flight cubes sounds like a pretty good jury rig. Just pick up the bottom one to move the stack around...

I could do little clouds with invisible colliders with certain increments written on them. 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 - stack them as you like. I should be able to build those next week some time.

I am looking to play an Aarakocra for the first time and wanted to have a tool for showing how high my character is from the ground when they're flying. Think you could make something like that?

I'm envisioning something like a button that adds a transparent cube underneath a character for every 5 feet they are up.

Looks like the rulers didn't have the colliders applied. Updated. Also all the files are now hosted on the steam cloud, so this won't be reliant on my own hosting.

Is it possible to get the no-colliders or stick-only colliders version back? It was great to have rulers and AOE markers that ghosted through terrain and minis without disturbing them.

Any possibility you might be willing to put markers for cubes/squares, just to kinda complete the set for 5e?
Thanks for these awesome tools, either way

Updated for latest TTS update

This file was kinda hard to find, you may want to add some key words in the description. Such as: Area, Range, Distance, Tracker, etc. to make it simple for people to find! Typing marker was the only way I found them.
delta07™ 26 Jun, 2018 @ 12:06am
that def worked. thats great thank you :)
GeneralChaos  [author] 25 Jun, 2018 @ 11:42pm
I can't fire up TTS right now, but if you grab an existing 24in ruler from this module, then change the source object to be http://general-chaos.com/ts/24feet.obj - that should work.
delta07™ 25 Jun, 2018 @ 10:00pm
oh the scale isnt the issue its the numbers. me and my players use it in dnd so having it go up by 5s woudl be perfect. 5,10,15,20,25 oh ok this char is at 25feet so its in range.
GeneralChaos  [author] 25 Jun, 2018 @ 9:47pm
If you scale it down a few steps, using another ruler for reference, you should be able to get half increments.
delta07™ 25 Jun, 2018 @ 6:19pm
is it possable to get 2 of the rulers that go up by 5 instead of 1? i have no idea how to do that my self
GeneralChaos  [author] 3 Apr, 2018 @ 5:40am
Module is temporarily unavailable while my hosting is being poo.
GeneralChaos  [author] 24 Dec, 2017 @ 12:18pm
@Knosan - Done.
I don't remember what sorcery I did to make the widgets in the middle stay white while the rings took on a color... but it backfired and swapped. :|

Our DM has used this for some time and it works well and looks good. Thank you for your time and effort on this! Merry Christmas to you and yours.

One suggestion, if I may: at times it can be awkward to place the vertical pole of the AoE markers with physics on. Would it instead be possible to make the 'center' or core of the marker a small flat disc instead? Then it would always align with the table, and allow miniatures to be placed on top of them, or even moved with them without it falling / rolling over.

I have roleplaying aids!
Joanne 16 Feb, 2016 @ 11:34am
Perhaps something to display HP? You could probably use money bags and little hearts somehow.
GeneralChaos  [author] 28 Jun, 2015 @ 10:00pm
In Blender I made a circle, extruded it in, the deleted the quarters I didn't want- then finish back to the origin point. I can do them if you let me know the dimensions.
MoooPZ 27 Jun, 2015 @ 2:25pm
Hey I was wondering how you made your cone markers? I need to make some of a wider angle than the standard Warhammer ones for the Fallout Tactics board game.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks for giving me aids!

Well done. wow i wish i knew how to make this stuff. I salute you General.
GeneralChaos  [author] 20 Jun, 2015 @ 3:41pm
Oops. I left off the collider. Updated!
entr0py 20 Jun, 2015 @ 8:49am
sweet rulers; any chance you change them so the majority of it can pass thru other objects? would be great to be able to drop this in the middle of a crowd and not have it interfered with.
GeneralChaos  [author] 19 Jun, 2015 @ 5:59am
Added blunderbuss and inch rulers.
Star-X 18 Jun, 2015 @ 4:28pm
Yep, it's a rectangle. The middle of the 1" side is where the shot is fired from.

As for the CMs vs Inches, go ahead and include the CM stick. Tbh though I'll only be using the inches stick XD
GeneralChaos  [author] 18 Jun, 2015 @ 2:47pm
Blunderbuss template is just a 1" by 16" rectangle?
I'll have a think about how to best do a measuring stick. I'll probably do one in inches and one in cm, because who knows!
Star-X 18 Jun, 2015 @ 12:57pm
On that note a blunderbuss template for Mordheim would be nice. WHFB uses the unit's width for it, so measuring Blunderbuss shots in WHFB is a lot easier, but in Mordheim it affects a 16" by 1" area, which is a lot harder to measure properly with or without a measuring stick thanks to that damn 1" wide shot that's actually bigger than any model's base size that can use the damn thing. (FYI the middle of the 1" wide side is the origin point)
Star-X 18 Jun, 2015 @ 12:57pm
Thanks for the flame and blast templates. One last request; a measuring stick? As far as I'm aware TTS's measuring function only shows client side, meaning that other players can't see your measuring. This means random Warhammer/Mordheim/whatever games rely entirely on your opponent being honest, which isn't guarenteed with randoms. If there is now an option to show measuring for ALL clients forget I asked anything, but if not a measuring stick would be great. No, grids don't count, since grids only work for games that actually use them, which Warhammer and its ilk don't.
GeneralChaos  [author] 18 Jun, 2015 @ 5:30am
Good to know. I normally deal with objects that have a high centre of gravity by right-clicking before releasing left. But if you miss with that, you might end up picking up other stuff, so I like the gravity idea.
entr0py 18 Jun, 2015 @ 4:11am
I've found these wanna tip over quite easily; but if gravity is increased, they stay uprite better. Nice directional marker too btw.
GeneralChaos  [author] 18 Jun, 2015 @ 1:33am
Done! And 3, 4 and 5" sprays (assuming the grid is 1" squares)
Also did it for warmachine, because one day I hope to play Iron Kingdoms RPG. :P
Star-X 17 Jun, 2015 @ 4:56pm
Would it be possible at all to create a tweaked Cone template that's shaped more like this?

http://hobby-games.com.ua/shop/published/publicdata/HOBBYGAME8636/attachments/SC/products_pictures/m1210503a_99220299032_WHTemplateSet2_873x627_enl.jpg

I could really, REALLY use one like that for my Mordheim/Warhammer games over TTS.
entr0py 17 Jun, 2015 @ 4:16am
Ohh man! how long i've been waiting for AOE markers. Thank you for sharing your talents, well done.
