Aweseome! Any chance a HOI4-style mod, where translucescence changes according to zooming like the one made for EU4, ever comes to light?

For me, this mod turns the map black in every mode except terrain mode.

I love it and I would use it all the time. There is one "major" problem however: you can no longer easily identify what lands your vassals own and what lands you own directly in the diplomacy map mode. In vanilla you can clearly distinguish the different shades of green, but here it is simply impossible (and basically it's the same problem for any other mapmode that features different shades of green). I would really love to use this mapmode all the time, but for that the greens must be distinguishable, because function > form.

Which are the variables we could maybe toy around with to arrive at a middle ground, that is a bit more transparent than vanilla, but where I can still distinguish the greens?

RE: Brightness. Please decrease it, certain nation colors are way to bright. Maybe it is just my monitor settings though? Either way, a darker version would be nice.

How do you mean?

A little question, are subs ok with me lowering brightness of map while using this mod?

I created them in photoshop, if you're asking how to use them in steam while creating description, use

How did you get the fancy headers for the banner and description?

@Nick Potassium: It was made sooner. A month ago by the same guy who did the EU4 one. They are suitably different though. I'll have to try this one out, but from the pictures I think I perfer the other one. This one looks like it might be hard to distinguish different colours in Direct Vassal mode.

How obvious is this? why the hell is this not a built-in option? good work!

@CJ: No. Translucent means it only lets light through. In this mod you can see the grass/sand/snow behind the colour so it's transparent.

Why wasn't this made sooner? Excellent Idea.

Thank the lord for this.

Too bad the snow looks awful, otherwise this would be a truly great mod. It also kind of brings CKII closer to the map design philosophy of HoI4 which aims for less map modes but more information contained within them.

Should it not be translucent rather than transparent?

Nice addition to the main mod!
