Does this mess with livestock? I bought two sheep off a trader intending on starting a larger flock, but both of them died without ever reproducing. I even looked in the log to see if they died or disease or something, but nope.

All achievements are disabled when any mod is active, including translation mods. Although, when disabling all mods on an existing save, assuming it doesn't crash your game, achievements become active. It's as though the game goes through your town hall's archive if I'm understanding correctly.
Dirla Putri Afifah 26 Feb, 2021 @ 8:44pm
If i added this mod to my game, will the achievements be inactive ? Or just some achievements ?

Is there an alternative mod to this?

This one makes the game too slow. Is there anything, faster, than this?
Onion No.2 15 Apr, 2020 @ 5:06am
i use CC mod and enjoy playing adam and eve..... this mod makes game extremely slow
blackhawk76 28 Sep, 2019 @ 11:10am
Can you possibly edit the ages for having kids to like 15 to 40 or 15 to 45? That would be great!
nhatanh0475 23 Sep, 2019 @ 12:41am
It this compatible to the Banished plus?
Twerkin Machine 24 Jul, 2019 @ 3:07pm
Could just be me, but ever since the last Banished update, 1:1 mod has been making my game crash. Any ideas?

It aint normal today... but It's also the medievil style era. Kids are usually put to work with the family as soon as they are able. i can understand the problem with Moving out of the family house before 15, but they can be betrothed at really any age even before they are born. that is up to the head of household.
ryttyr 20 Mar, 2019 @ 8:30am
I kinda wished the age tresholds in this mod followed those of the base game so that children becomes students or labourers at age 10 and students becomes labourers at age 17. It feels really weird seeing lots of seven year olds living on their own as students who'll graduate and get proper jobs at age 10. That's not normal!

wellsantos 28 Dec, 2018 @ 2:12pm
Hi, could you send me the source code of this mod? My e-mail is wellsantos@wellsantos.com Thanks and Great Work!!
Platypus Boi 4 Dec, 2018 @ 4:22pm
good mod, but in earlier timelines, the childrens will be a dead weight and takes alot of food and stuff while they at school, to anyone using this mod, be wary of food shortages, as 9 years in school is a long ass time
Kukela 19 Sep, 2018 @ 12:59pm
Hi,

Description says children become students at 6, and stay in school for 9 years. This should be 15 years, right?

My students become workers, Educated = Yes, at 10 years old.

Any advice appreciated, or have I misunderstood this mod?
MAJESTIC 14 Aug, 2018 @ 12:23pm
Well When I Subscribed to this mod I had Like 40 Citizens Die of old age Is this normal Plus they was all old anyways so is this but a coincidence ?
Deathmonkey361 26 Jul, 2018 @ 9:35pm
Do mods disable achievements?
Enfys 5 Jul, 2018 @ 10:42am
Thanks for the mod. I really wanted something like this from like. minute 1.

@Nells: The mod maker had no requirements to make this. Mods aren't your right. They make mods and share them so others can enjoy them, too. The only reason they, as you put it, 'force their preferences' is because mods tend to be an 'as is' sort of thing.

There is a modkit you can download. It's in the link DabbieDab provided. It has step by step instructions on installing the mod kit and creating mods. I'd suggest start out with an easy mod that changes one thing, and see how that works. Then try and get more complicated. Happy modding if you do it.
Vela 28 Jun, 2018 @ 11:29am
If this is an optional mod that you don't NEED to use to play the game, ie the game works without it, then the modder is not forcing you to do anything and you are being unreasonable acting like its fair for you to be mad at them for not taking the time themselves to teach you how to mod...
DabbieDab 26 Jun, 2018 @ 2:54am
@Nelis : this was my first google hit: https://banishedinfo.com/mods/resources . A strange question in a rude way. Like asking Dell to explain how to build a computer.

On topic: Great mod. I play it with adam eve and like the micromanagment I have to do.
nelis1846 25 Jun, 2018 @ 6:39am
it would be very much appreciated if you [ the author ] explains to us [ players ] how we can make a mod like this one of our own and adjust it to our liking. share the knowledge. instead of forcing your preferences onto someone else.
MaxwellJoneZ 22 Jun, 2018 @ 12:23am
Aging one year in one year makes sense. Labourer at the age of 6 is ok, but quite harsch.
Students staying in school until 9 and getting married at the age of 7 is not good. Babies at 15 can be realistic.
Please can you sort it out so it makes more sense altogether, not only sticking to one year is one year, but that the timeline also makes sense?
Thanks in advance for your answer.

This mod alone will probably bring me back to murder my civilization freshly anew in Banished
Red Knight 20 May, 2018 @ 7:50pm
It is a good change to the game I believe and I'm finding I'm enjoying it more.
boneys26 28 Feb, 2018 @ 12:21am
One thing I hated about the game was the speed you go from a few settlers to huge town.. I Picked this up yesterday and so far I really love the pace.. I play adam and eve (one without any seeds) and the mod really slows things down, sure its hard I only have two settlers for a while but makes the game a lot better.

If i wanted to speed it up I can just add a building that brings in the nomads.
Asphyrr 1 Feb, 2018 @ 6:58am
This paces the game a lot better, in my opinion.
Vela 9 Jan, 2018 @ 11:22am
@graum that just means you built too many new houses too quickly, that would still cause issues for your town like sudden death syndrome in vanilla without this mod.
RawrLikeGao 9 Jan, 2018 @ 4:44am
Town died due to baby overpopulation. 10/10
ArRashid 31 Dec, 2017 @ 1:45pm
It's a great mod, don't get me wrong... but I wish there were starts with more families, because even with medium+ (5 families) it takes literally forever to grow your workers somewhat. I'm still not decided whether it's better to let your second generation be all child workers, or build a school and try to wait it out. I also got a mod that practically stops 'workplace death', or I'd be scared I lose half my original colonists before I breed more...
corthew 20 Dec, 2017 @ 4:09pm
I would like clarification...When you say one year is one year, are you saying vanila ages people 5 years for every game year, or are you saying 5 years in-game go by in one year realtime?
I'm pretty sure from the last time I played that whole game years go by in minutes or hours realtime so I assume one year is one year means the game ages people 5 years for every in-game year but if that's true its hardly a fair representation of the situation it pretends to emulate and no wonder the game is near impossible to play.
Its cheating.

Hey guys, ther's my bad. There used to be and option to disable auto updates, not that long ago actually. but apparently that's not longer an option. I apologise.
Guido999 22 Sep, 2017 @ 5:53pm
@Vela, perhaps you can tell me how to turn off auto-update.
一个仁IceFairy - Cirno 21 Sep, 2017 @ 11:42pm
wow, Thanks for your [@Vela] explanation. 0v0
Vela 21 Sep, 2017 @ 8:16pm
@gtklatt I'd like to lastly point out that you did choose to allow steam to auto update this game/mods for, or it wouldn't have.
Vela 21 Sep, 2017 @ 8:06pm
And anyway there is a confirmed fix, which is to start a new game, which is really the only thing even close to a garuntee you're going to get that everything will work whenever there are any updates to any game ever. There are swaths of other games out there with developers that spend enormous ammounts of time and teamwork ensuring old save files are compatible and even they get it wrong sometimes, or need to push an update that will defini9tely make old saves incompatible, it happens all the time....
Vela 21 Sep, 2017 @ 8:03pm
And yes i understand reverting to an old version of the mod resolves the issue but are you also reverting to an old version of the game in order to use the previous mod version?
Vela 21 Sep, 2017 @ 7:56pm
guys there were updates to the game not just this mod. an update to the core game is always likely to cause issues with old save files, if it wasnt education it could have easily been something else going wrong because you're using an old save on a new version of the programming, all in all that's actually a pretty small bug compared to what could have happened. yoou can never expect saves from previous versions of the game to work on new versions 100% of the time and there's likely nothing this modder can do to correct this issue.
Meaning it's up to you, to simply start a new game from scratch. this will all but garuntee no issues.
I know it sucks, but it's simply a fact of game development.
Guido999 21 Sep, 2017 @ 6:53pm
I also use the Better Schools mod. How about others with the same issue?
Guido999 21 Sep, 2017 @ 6:33pm
GordonDry, are you going to fix this? Very annoying that my citizens are now 0% educated. This update happened automatically, I didn't choose to install it.
Guido999 21 Sep, 2017 @ 6:08pm
My citizens also went to 0% educated with the latest update.
一个仁IceFairy - Cirno 16 Sep, 2017 @ 2:01pm
I spent a lot of energy on an old archives, I just kind of lazy to restart everything again~~~
一个仁IceFairy - Cirno 16 Sep, 2017 @ 1:55pm
Thank you!!! (~ 0 v 0 )~
The weblinks you list on description is helpful, I download 24 and 26 versions. When I use 24, citizens educated is still 100%. When I use 26, citizens educated is become 0%.
This issue only happen to my old archives!
Start a new archives, this mod working well.
Vela 16 Sep, 2017 @ 11:05am
Definitely not experiencing the issues Knife110 is seeing
GordonDry  [author] 16 Sep, 2017 @ 5:24am
@mosterhart: read older comments, it's because of the game balance. In later game you would have a huge population explosion if the women can become pregnant when getting older than set.
