Fcuk, I work at a Taco Bell, now in my game too T_T
Yannerrins 11 Apr, 2022 @ 10:13pm
Ah yes, my favourite fast food chain - JFK
Jubal Early 12 Jun, 2021 @ 4:11pm
I saw this building in a YT video and went looking for JFK. So glad to have this in my city, thank you both!

@easte your comment has just made @Hydraulic's day. She helped work on this asset :D
easte 4 Jul, 2020 @ 3:42pm
It took me this long to notice the JFK LOL
TurtleShroom 23 Oct, 2019 @ 6:26pm
You should do one at the Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.

That way, you can place the Pizza Hut.

You can place the Taco Bell.

You can place the Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.

This asset is so good, polished and clean, it reminds me Simcity 2013 assets.
Alex1011 8 Apr, 2019 @ 12:07pm
Yes. it works like a charm now! Haven't changed anything else. Before, i always got "NullReferemce" errors every couple seconds in an infinite loop. Thank you very much :)
Gula  [author] 8 Apr, 2019 @ 11:35am
I reverted to the previous version which should resolve your issue? All I did there was reimport the FBX as a 2014 asset. Hmmm... weird.
Alex1011 8 Apr, 2019 @ 7:43am
Hi Gula, could you please address the mentioned issue? I'm unable to play my main save in the last days due to it. Thank you very much :)
Alex1011 6 Apr, 2019 @ 8:32am
Got "Gula's Taco Bell KFC You have Gula's Taco Sell KFC but it does not contain Gula's Taco Bell KFC. Name probably changed by the asset author." error by Loading Screen Mod. Thanks in advance for having a look at this issue!
rock_and_troll 24 Mar, 2019 @ 10:44am
The same as Vaelor, this isn't fucking growing in my city! Unsubbed!
ʋǟɛʟօʀ 7 Mar, 2019 @ 4:22am
I subscribed to this mod in 2015 and I have never, ever seen one of these in my game. =(
girlweapon 1 Feb, 2019 @ 1:07pm
Should've been a combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell
djnellz215913ko 25 Mar, 2018 @ 3:47pm
Taco Sell and JFK. LOVE IT!!!
Alan 13 Jan, 2017 @ 4:55pm
Ah great
Gula  [author] 13 Jan, 2017 @ 1:43pm
It functions as all buildings do in the game, its just building reskin. So yes, it makes a profit if you've done all you can to support that.
Alan 13 Jan, 2017 @ 12:45pm
Does this make a profit?
Montepogey 8 Oct, 2016 @ 11:34am
Should have been Taco Hell. Otherwise 👌
Deadmano 23 Jun, 2016 @ 12:09pm
I realise that, and I use many more of your other ones because they fit in, but I guess this is somewhat immersive-breaking due to the whole political stance behind it? I'm not sure why...

Also, I've seen many real-world companies used, so that isn't allowed? I had thought modders have the freedom to create content, but it would be illegal if the developers did it themselves?

In any event, thank you for your hard-work! It is much appreciated. :)
Gula  [author] 23 Jun, 2016 @ 11:19am
They are all spoof names and spoof icons, every building I've released. The iconography and architecture will be recognizable, but the direct names have been replaced. The idea is the same, but the in game execution is different for legal reasons.
Deadmano 23 Jun, 2016 @ 10:55am
Can you please re-name your title? I thought this was a legit Taco Bell/KFC combo, until I saw it in-game and quickly unsubscribed. It is a great mod, don't get me wrong, but I was trying to go with realism by installing mods of buildings we see in every-day life. :)
dafrandle 19 Nov, 2015 @ 6:40pm
lol jfk
Smeliot 21 Oct, 2015 @ 6:06pm
This mod will probably raise the cost of my city's healthcare, but it's well worth it.

Updated for After Dark
detdotnet 2 Sep, 2015 @ 1:13pm
whenever i go to camp in northern michigan, we always stop in west branch for lunch, because it is a 4 hour drive up to camp. there is one of those there on hamburger hill (thats where all the fast food restaurants are) and it look just like Gula's. Nice work. Will remind me of my summer.
Hawk Tuah 11 Jul, 2015 @ 4:26pm
I think it's really 3x4
Stranger 9 Jul, 2015 @ 7:23pm
Got one of these in my town. But man sometimes its hard to choose between a dorito taco or a chicken leg meal.
naokika 29 Jun, 2015 @ 9:20am
I'm the one who need to thank! I'm so glad that you liked! And thanks for inspiring me on following the 3D Modeller career! :)
Gula  [author] 29 Jun, 2015 @ 7:26am
Glad I could help. By the way, your Ville Portal Entrance is one of my favorite models, so thanks for that one :)
naokika 29 Jun, 2015 @ 6:08am
Thankz it worked! I thought about using two planes facing outwards on the same axis, but in maya, they seemed conflicted (http://i.imgur.com/D6iEAFh.jpg) . so I was afraid of messing everything up in the game, until now. The best way I knew was using a cube and making the depth (or width) very thin, like 0,05m, and using the alpha maps but wasn't satisfied with it since it adds 4 faces for nothing.
Gula  [author] 29 Jun, 2015 @ 5:26am
@Foxnine - What I typically do with railings and whatnot is double-up the quads that are railings. One side faces the "outward" way, and one side faces the "inward" way (opposites). The railings I make are essentially planes, or "cards" that have alpha masks in the <filename>_a file. I think you may be confused with how alpha masks work, they are quite simple when you study them and actually take apart how they work. As far as "2 sided normals", there are no two-sided materials in this game, at least definitely not for buildings. Everything can only be viewed from the 'normal vector' angle, meaning the frontward facing plane.
naokika 28 Jun, 2015 @ 6:50pm
Hi gula! Have a question about modelling. I'd be really gratefull if answered! :)
I took a look at many models and all of them have handrails/thin walls as only one plane, 2-sided normals. how can i achieve such thing? Searched through various forums but all says that maya doesn't seem to support 2-sided normals,
Myffanwy 21 Jun, 2015 @ 10:28pm
Man, I work at a KFC/TB combo and now I can build my sad fast food job in my fantasy world.
Methway 20 Jun, 2015 @ 2:37pm
@Gula Yeah they grow, but this process is very fast and "Control Building Level Up" mod is way too buggy for me, so I can't use it :c
Lønn 19 Jun, 2015 @ 11:50pm
Taco, Taco Great! :happy_creep:
Benimaru 19 Jun, 2015 @ 9:16pm

ɢʀᴇᴇɴ ᴅʀᴀɢᴏɴ 19 Jun, 2015 @ 6:10pm
okay but i dont know about that Cry
Cry Posthuman 19 Jun, 2015 @ 8:27am
@Chrisy2045
Oh! I would like to write "Maybe HE can compensate that $200..^^" XD
But, I have the student version of Maya...
Cry Posthuman 19 Jun, 2015 @ 7:02am
@Chrisy2045
Gula is a pro artis. If you are professional in this sector you have to own licences like Maya.
Why he give the content for free? Maybe I can compensate that $200..^^
ɢʀᴇᴇɴ ᴅʀᴀɢᴏɴ 19 Jun, 2015 @ 6:52am
unless you are a student you get Maya free for 3 years
ɢʀᴇᴇɴ ᴅʀᴀɢᴏɴ 19 Jun, 2015 @ 6:48am
HOLY DAMN Maya costs like $2,000 a year $260 a month you must be rich to afford that and you give the content away for free wow
Freadbersk 19 Jun, 2015 @ 4:38am
very great building. could you also up a ploppable version as a park?
Jewish Banana 19 Jun, 2015 @ 1:41am
The JFK bit is brilliant. Fantastic as always, Gula.
charlesnew 18 Jun, 2015 @ 10:37pm
I like how you don't use the real companies. I like to think that my cities are not in this world, so the companies wouldn't be the same as in the real world.
Gula  [author] 18 Jun, 2015 @ 9:55pm
@Chrisy2045 I make my buildings in Maya and my textures through Photoshop/Crazybump

@/b/tard I'm not exactly sure why you're seeing only max level of buildings? When I play, my buildings have to grow from level 1 to level 3. There are also mods to stop progression if you really enjoy a certain building that spawns in.
static 18 Jun, 2015 @ 7:22pm
Great work here Gula, this is perfect for my city. Thanks for all your designs!
DRen72 18 Jun, 2015 @ 5:57pm
If it were truly KFC and Taco Bell this would have been great, but JFK and the Liberty Bell.....na.
ɢʀᴇᴇɴ ᴅʀᴀɢᴏɴ 18 Jun, 2015 @ 5:06pm
how do you make complete new buildings? i commented about this before and no one answered me
