I like the idea for this mod cus it's something that i've been looking for but, New Brunswick and no Nova Scotia? Acadia is supposed to be NS and NB. Have NS and NB be seperate colonies, and let them merge into Acadia if it's french culture or something.
ElyOzasa 23 Sep, 2017 @ 5:51pm
I love the idea behind this, but would it be possible to make a different version of the mod that allows the colonies to be historical regions rather than small, historical colonies? So rather than having Massachuestts, Rhode Island, Conneticut, New Hampshire, and Main, those colonies could all be New England. Like wise, Georgia, the Carolinas, and Virginia could all be "the Southern Colonies" or just "Dixie".
Anna1914 8 Sep, 2017 @ 3:35am
wonder how long the next update will take.
Confused Crawdad 4 Sep, 2017 @ 4:27pm
I got it to load the game but it caused the game to freeze on and off, I suspect this is because it's out of date. It seems fun, any chance of an update?
AfterlifeBarista 22 Aug, 2017 @ 3:58pm
Is this mod still working properly? I know it's not up to date, but I can still load it without issue
ElyOzasa 18 Aug, 2017 @ 10:45am
@canadianlemur
Although Scottish settlement in Canada was significant, most of Canada was settled by English, English Americans being the fouding stock of Ontario. However, even if Canada was mostly settled by Scots(which it was not), that would not change the fact that most of the settlers in British colonies were English.

Update?
Canadian Lemur 17 Jul, 2017 @ 12:50am
@rangerjes most immigration to canada from GB was from scotland
ElyOzasa 16 Jul, 2017 @ 10:40pm
@Mere
Well, not entirely. I can only speak for the British colonies as I know the most about then, but many people who went to the Colonies were fairly well off. Many were middle-class and many more were nobility who were born to late to inheret anything. Regardless, the majority of people who settled in the colonies were members of the primary ethnic group of the kingdom who owned the colony. Although there were four(possibly five depending on how you count the Ulster Scots) ethnic groups who lived in the Kingdom of Britain, the colonies were almost entirely settled by English. Obviously there are many exeptions, Such as the Scots(both lowland and Ulster) settled in Dixie as a whole and Appalachia specifically.
tee 14 Jul, 2017 @ 5:35am
@RangerJes - The main people going to the colonies were the poor/lower middle class with little in their homeland to lose. I'm sure the system doesn't currently account for it but realistically you should see a exodus of your lower development/non-accepted cultures. You can see this in American/Canadian/Australia accents which are based off rural/lower class accents found in the British Isles and France in the case of Quebec.
ElyOzasa 5 Jul, 2017 @ 8:59pm
Could you adjust the random culture event so that it is based off of development? I like the idea of it, but half my colonies being Celtic rather than English is ridiculous.
barcelona011 4 Jul, 2017 @ 1:42am
Update it for 1.22 please
Patuxent 13 Jun, 2017 @ 12:33pm
Redownloaded it again. All the colonial regions are working now. Thanks for the support!
SeelingCat  [author] 12 Jun, 2017 @ 4:16pm
@Patuxent - They seem to be working on my end. Which regions in particular aren't working for you - and are you using any other mods?
Patuxent 12 Jun, 2017 @ 3:41pm
I checked the mod again and redowloaded it. The small colonial nations still don't appear. If you can fix this soon that would be great I really wnat to enjoy this mod.
SeelingCat  [author] 10 Jun, 2017 @ 12:40pm
@Patuxent - You should only need 1 province to make a colonial nation; if that's not happening then there's a bug.

@[63e]_Easy_street - Not exactly sure. I think it should theoretically work, but I'm not entirely sure.
Cant Stand 10 Jun, 2017 @ 12:33pm
Hey I'm a little bit of a idiot, but I enabled this mod with random new world enabled what will happen to the colonial regions?
Patuxent 10 Jun, 2017 @ 8:51am
I'd make it so you only need one core to make a colonial nation
Patuxent 10 Jun, 2017 @ 8:46am
Some of these colonial regions don't have enough provinces to actually form colonial nations. I think you need 4 in each region.
CerebralPolicy [XXth] 25 May, 2017 @ 10:27pm
Has anyone reported a failure to form Colonial Nations in Newfoundland, and New Brunswick?
SeelingCat  [author] 4 May, 2017 @ 8:09pm
@Rashid Armaldo - One day I will successfully remove all vestiges of Alaska from Japan - thanks for the headsup!
canadian birds 4 May, 2017 @ 3:43pm
A minor issue: the flag for Alaska is mixed up with Ashikaga. Alaska's flag is named ASK, the tag for Ashikaga, when it should be ALK, which is Alaska's tag.
SeelingCat  [author] 3 May, 2017 @ 3:11pm
@Aram855 - Figured it out I think; should have a fix out soon!
SeelingCat  [author] 3 May, 2017 @ 2:51pm
@Aram855 - Extremely odd! I'll definitely look into this and see what's causing it; thanks for the extremely helpful info!
AfterlifeBarista 3 May, 2017 @ 2:11pm
Good news, issue is fixed! To be fair, the update didn't work at first, so I started to look at the save for any clue. Go figure, the mod gave control of a wasteland province to a OPM at some point, and at some point in the year, the OPM got it's only physical province conquered. The engine freaks out because it has a tag with a wasteland province, and it crashes. If I give said nation a new province before the engine ticks in the 16, the CTD is averted. I don't know yet how to remove control of a wasteland, so the issue is poised to happen again in future.

I ran a couple of observer games, and 3 out of 4 test, the issue repeats, involving the same wasteland province, and a near tag.

The province ID is 1805, and is located in North America, west of Greenland. So far the tags of Ojibwe (OJI), Fox (FOX), and Cree (WCR) have suffered this issue: They migrate north, and at some point, the province is given to them.

Hope it helps, and thanks for the patch!
SeelingCat  [author] 3 May, 2017 @ 12:44pm
@Aram855 - I just uploaded a version that I hope fixes your errors!
SeelingCat  [author] 3 May, 2017 @ 12:13pm
@Aram855 - Alright; thanks for the additional info - I'll see if I can figure this out soon!
