Guys I have no idea what is causing it to look bronze. Check to make sure that you dont have any other 1911 mods that could be messing with the shaders.

Sound file should not matter. Put the files in the CUSTOM folder. The file extension should be ".vpk"

i downloaded the files, but there is only one item in each and neither of them are vpks.

ok i understand. i am going to make this attempt right now, however i do have one question, should or should not, a desert eagle SOUND file conflict at all with the tactical file?

OK one last thing you can try. Use this link to download both mods manually.
http://steamworkshopdownloader.com/
The addresses is in the top left corner of steam.

Place the two .VPK files in:
SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\insurgency2\insurgency\custom

Unsubsribe from any mods that replace the 1911 or M45 Including my Deagles.

Now start the game and check. You dont need to wait on the WS mods to load. The Deagles will be in your game by default. If you subscribe to any M45 or 1911 mods, they will be over written.

In order to get the update you have to unsubscribe and resubscribe to the Tactical Deagle. That fixes it.

what issues are you having? The texture merge issue should be fixed. If you are still having problems, try this:

1. Unsubsribe from both.
2. Launch Insurgency and wait for mods to load. Quit Insurgency.
3. Navigate to your workshop folder. (SteamApps\common\insurgency2\insurgency\custom\workshop)
4. Delete "tactical desert eagle for M45.vpk" and "Warlords_engraved_desert_eagle_1911.vpk" IF they are still there.
5. Resubsribe to both of my deagles and check to see if the issue is resolved.

ALSO. please make sure that you are not subscribed to any other Deser Eagle mods. They have not been modified to allow different textures to work simultaniously on the 1911 and M45.

There seems to be a conflict between the two. Probably because I based them both off of the same file. I will try to resolve the conflict and update them soon. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

I have both this and the Tactical Desert Eagle but I am getting the Warlord one on both for some reason. In addition, the inventory picture is an odd blue white and pink static-type thing for the Insurgents and but for the Security forces I get the Tactical Deagle picture but the Gold Engraved model. Any idea what might be causing this? I don't have any mods that affect the 1911 or .45 ACP.

If you are worried about screencaps, try taking them on Market. Tigg uses the map to showcase the reflective finish on his Mossberg, his PPK, and his 659, so I think you can try that. Plenty of light, especially on the Insurgent side of the map.
