Next thought: due to inability of sleeping, have you tought about 'meditation' action? I do not know how the scripting language works but it would be cool if you could meditate while by the fire or something like that. It could restore sanity/health or cause temporal damage/defence boost.
Have you asked anyone to help you with graphics?
About leveling: as I said before it could be a potion that might be crafted using some rare materials and giving relatively small bonus (like 5+ per stat/istics). BTW I've seen a character that have it's own quest that allow him to level-up. Think about it.

1. i may make sword durability configurable in settings
2. level up might be good but imbalanced. i already thought about it but don't know how to make it balanced
3. armour and jewellery - yes i was started to making it earlier but i don't have artist for this. so i decided to not develop it
4. might be greater idea to make axii work as sleep effect since many creatures have sleeping effect. i would think about it
It would be cool to see quen defending against fire/ice damage during its durability.
What about more signs? F.e. Heliotrop could stop sanity drop while near monsters for a few sec (but wont stop sanity drop due to used iteam/sign).
About Axii - maybe it should put one a sleep for a few seconds instead of befriending pigs?
I do not have any idea what to do about Aard and Yrden but i really want to see whole list of signs complited.
And the final question, do you plan to make more characters from the witcher tale?

no, nightmare creatures must give sanity boost on kill. not once made it
Thanks for pointing out attacking raise sanity... After reading the documentation, I think what I had might be a bug. Killing nightmare creatures give no sanity boost. Is this intended behaviour?
it isn't hard to manage really. probably you are beginner. craft hat from web for sanity. also sword attacks to monster boosts sanity
every sword meaning you may make mod with swords and they will count for geralt
