@ The issue with elections: That does sound annoying most of the time, but it also gives you the option of a more EU IV-style playing as a Republic or Elective Monarchy. Which is kind of weird and less realistic than the CK2 play (you should never deliberately lose elections), but it's kind of a cool option... on the other hand I'm assuming that means your money, demense, and retinues all go to your dynastic heir while you play a guy with different ones? That would certainly be weird.
However, there is a small problem I encountered: If your primary title goes to someone who is not your dynasty, but some smaller titles do (= no game over, predominantly in republics when losing the election), you control the character who inherited your primary title. I am not sure how to fix this, but it is an issue which mainly occurs with patricians or large elective monarchies
@Kookusking Thanks for your reply and I'm really impressed with your intuition.
However I would like to know if it's possible to make a mod which allows you to continue playing as another character (i.e i die with no heir as Hispania so i choose to play as Iceland instead) that is unaffiliated completely with your current court or lands. Perhaps you can add it in as a toggleable decision in this mod? Or even go as far as to allow Ruler Designer to be used again?
I look forward to it and am pumped to be able to choose my heir personally.
@Oxcgen - This mod adds a single feature which is to allow you to continue playing with non-dynastic heirs (so you won't get a game over if your dynasty dies off). It is a totally automated procedure so you continue playing as normal.
I always thought it was so stupid that you can't play just because you don't have a dynasty member as heir! I mean, why can't your imporant general or governor succed you?
