This Map would be Fire if the AI worked with the Legends of Middle-Earth Mod (They are only harvesting Resources if you have the LOTR Mod installed) maybe upload this map again but change the Gods for Gondor and all the other Realms to the according ones of the Legends of Middle Earth mod and then reupload it would appreciate it.

hmm I seem to have an issue where the AI only uses its villagers to harvest but they dont build or attack at all?

Probably, but I have no clue how many DLC assets are in the scenario. I'm frankly amazed they're still charging for the DLC.

There is no unit data, this is not a mod. This is just a scenario. I think Panchodia was working on a conversion of this map with his modded units but I'm not sure he's released anything yet.

As far as I know, Panchodia never released his LOTR assets so a mod using this map has never been made.

Load Scenario should work unless you're playing on 2.7 which might cause issues. The gather point thing is annoying but it's just the way it works in this scenario. When a unit is transformed into another, it loses the original commands so it just stops moving. I'm not planning on adding any more work to this scenario at least until one of the big LotR mods is released at which point the scenario will probably just be included in that mod.

I followed the instructions to play as a load scenario and it doest seem to work. I also noticed that you cant set a gather point for custom units for some reason. Also, I dont know if this is a faction unique thing but can you add a way to heal your units for Gondor? I should have gotten the temple of healing but it seems like you removed it

Perhaps if you have it set to auto-install even while playing. I don't know what effect it will have on the scenario and I'm not going to update until the full patch is released. Let me know if there are any new bugs due to the patch.

Sorry to hear that. It might be a bug in the scenario or it might just be the game showing its age. I tend to save frequently when I play long sessions because I just expect it to crash at some point.

Good work on this. I played it and the forces of good crushed Isengard and Mordor. I then plundered Erebor and was trying to deforest the world when it crashed. (roughly 3+ hours in).

@Socrates - That is actually fairly common. Steam had a hiccup when you subscribed.

Navigate to where you have Steam installed and go to Steam/SteamApps/workshop and delete the file appworkshop_266840.acf. Restart Steam and the file should be generated and your mods should be displayed properly.

I'm not able to actually download this mod. I just subscribed to two others which downloaded, but this one won't appear in my mods folder. Is this common / is there a workaround?

You don't need any other mods, no. Some units will pop out as different units.

Yes. If you plan on doing any sort of scenario design work, it is strongly recommended that you get the Advanced Trigger pack published here on the steam workshop by nottud. The triggers themselves are saved as part of the scenario so end users don't need the trigger pack.

@Destiiii... - Check the triggers. I used 'change unit type in area' for making different units spawn, 'change unit name' for the names, and 'transform' for the projectile.

@mbird1205 - If they appear as shown in the pictures above, then they are appearing correctly. They face to the north, warning anyone approaching the ancient northern borders of Gondor.

@raymoake - I can't do anything about the AI performance. It was sacrificed for the sake of geography. I won't be updating this scenario anytime soon.

My main concern is to fix Gondor so villagers will not get stuck in fortress and be able to expand outside easier. CPU not smart enough to prevent blocking in everyone.


Also I would like silvan elves to quit building on bridge and going over cave walls to be in woods on right side of cave facing. I tried putting town center in woods open area outside cave near bridge but still not enough room to build all necessary buildings to advance levels. Also I would like all leaders be able to regenerate health. Would help Gondor and Silvan elves a lot.


Most other factions survive well except some have to fight a lot of goblins and ragnorok warriors.
Rhun Chinese race can not use defaultai it will not grow but use aomodai and they are strong.

I like this mod but have many issues. I like to let CPU play all factions but a few have issues. Gondor keeps putting animal magnetism in front so villagers cant leave fortress and therefore get way behind everyone else and get eliminated quickly or just don't do anything or build houses so no one can leave.

Silvan elves cant get out of cave they start because after gaia forest are made they are blocked in and they do not have room for building temple and manor. For some reason after forest are built and finished if ever they want to go over cave top to get in forest around cave and then quit doing anything. Also when one does go outside it gets stuck on bridge or scout whp arrives from another faction gets stuck on bridge. I removed the rocks on one side to fix this but then they want to build manor or gaia forest on bridge and eventually they stop working completely. I tried using new aomodai and that helps some but still no fixing silvan elves.

@Naringingin - How many people are you playing with? Make sure you're only playing with people with green connections. You can also try removing the AIs from the multiplayer scenario. It's a big map with lots of stuff, if you're trying to play with 12 people, I expect you will lag.

Make sure you are hosting with the Third Age Multiplayer.scx scenario. Your friend doesn't even have to be subscribed to the mod - he will download the scenario from you in the lobby. The only thing he won't download is an icon that the scenario uses, but that shouldn't cause problems. Make sure that both you and your friend can open the scenario in the editor without issue.

Hey guys, I'm a huge fan of this mod and thinks it really great. I can't however get the multiplayer to work. When I host a game and get the lobby set up, it says to my friend (who downloaded the exact same mod I did) that he needs to download the files from me. It's no biggie, except for the fact that it always says that there was an error and can't start.
So I'm just wondering what else I need to do to get it working multiplayer? Thanks!

You might want to put into the description that you need the DLC to play this mod before other people like me do all the stuff and then cant even play. (This sounds like im being mean but im not trying to be :steamhappy:)

Oh. It is true that they start in a good spot, but they have no allies (only a bunch of neutrals) so they have to conquer literally everyone else in order to win. Also, the solution to the unfunctioning Dwarves: give them a couple of ulfsarks and they are good. I suspect that the AI does not build buildings with Hersirs.

I don't remember but some of your units should transform into Automaton and Arcus. I think they lack siege because they start in the safest spot on the map in the far west behind Eriador and bunch of other good factions.

As High Elves how do you get Eldarwine Heavy Infantry & Eldarwine Archers? The tooltip says they are my best units but I can't find them. Also the High Elves do not have any siege weapon (except the siege ship) which makes them terrible at siege.
