Awesome, the game could use a good polehammer skin like this

So far there isn't a polehammer skin, and there needs to be! Good job.

@Barfy @Wolvenworks @Sv98 Thanks for commenting,if you want to see this in game, everytime Torn Banner releases a patch with new content please write to them in the comments so they consider adding it in the future.

this would be insanely cool to wield

I'd totally use this to crush every knight on my path!

I think it would make others angry too. I am sorry that I can't respond to your comments directly, but I don't know how to do that on Steam.

Atleast I have made some input. :)

@Stoffe thank you, happy you like the weapon. As your your suggestion, zits something I can not do. I basically make a replacement for the weapon that has practically the same dimensions and same attack. If I could change the damage values, or if TB did It,people would cry bloody murder. If bought weapons had different of better values it would piss off a lot of people.

I look forward to more weapon reskins. :)

I love this. Simple in design, yet quite beautiful and looks like it could dish out some real damage.

I have an idea though. Now, I know all these weapon reskins are just that, weapon skins. But wouldn't it be cool if some weapon reskins, like this polehammer skin, also came with additional piercing damage, for example, because of the spike on the head of this polehammer?

I know, that is alittle far fetced. It wouldn't have to be anything significant. It would change play style somewhat, and to even it out, it could be less piercing damage than every other spear types.

Stuff like that would be alittle exciting. But I am sure it could also be a very bad idea, and would take alot of time to implement I suppose. I am sure I am leaving some details out, forgetting suff that makes it, at the moment, a bad idea to follow this trend. Just throwing some ideas out.

@Sir Doctor of Tardis thanks a lot for the feedback. Ill keep it in mine next time I make something.

@slowreflex When it comes to the workshop here on Chivalry its different compared to Skyrim for example. In here, the items you vote and favorite are up for desicion by the makers of the game Torn Banner. If they are chosen and added to the game, then they are sold in game as cosmetics items you can buy to look different in game. They have however no impact on gameplay.

im sorta new to modding but how do i actually download the mod not just favorite and stuff

@Oilystool - from both a design and in-game perspective, I see exactly where you're coming from. If I saw that in-game, I would think I was dealing piercing damage with a swing.

Again, your design looks great. I wanted to say that before I commented on it again - cause I wouldn't know where to begin trying to make a skin like this myself. The kind of "knob" that I think would look best on something like this, and still be clear to the user what kind of damage they're doing, would be the short tip on the hammer in the rightmost of this image:

Then again though, it wouldn't be as flashy as what you have here either. Only talking about that knobbed hammer head though, the short one, in place of the "suction cup"-esque bit on the main end.

@Sir Doctor of Tardis I think it's a fair enough critique. Sometimes as an artist your creative side can take over and design will overtake function. To give you an idea how I came up with this design,I'll show show you the reference.

http://www.wulflund.com/img/goods/en/medium/warhammer_german_streithammer_b.jpg

As you can see this Polehammer has a pointed side, but when I saw the point it looked like pierce damage,so I took the point away and slightly enlarged the hammerhead to make the focus the hammerhead. And while a pointed hammerhead may be more damaging, the flat one seemed cooler and more visually cooler. So I took the idea and ran with it. So while I always try to make something authentic looking, sometimes the idea overtakes function.

So in the end your critique is right. Anytime I design any weapon I have a central idea in mind and sometimes it means it can take away fr the function, for the sake of visuals. Next weapon il try to keep function more in mind.

Hey, I've voted on a bit of your work now. I just wanted to give some constructive criticism, and this particular skin is the best example to use. While I overall like the physical appearance of it, I can't help but think that a few of your designs throw away proper, real world weapon design at some points. For example, this pole hammer has an enlarged hammer head. Physically speaking, it makes sense to me that the tip should be rounded as much as possible and slightly pointed - so the area of impact is reduced and damage increased. Obviously, it's a skin so weapon damage wouldn't be increased - don't get me wrong lol.

Granted, this is a minor nitpicky kind of thing. Like I said, I enjoy it's appearance overall.

Amazing work as always :D

Just gorgeous. I hope they make an "Oilystool" pack or bundles.
Oilystool  [author] 5 Jul, 2015 @ 10:13pm
@Rask All kidding aside ,I'll play with the weapon more and see if it's overkill. The tricky part is showing blood when the weapon has 3 modes of attack.

@Captain thank you. It may seem a bit too large but in first person with perspective it shrinks a bit and works IMO. Who knows,TB might tell me to scale it. :)
Peril 5 Jul, 2015 @ 2:40pm
love everything about it, except i feel the hammer disc could be made a bit smaller
Oilystool  [author] 5 Jul, 2015 @ 12:28pm
If you are bad ass enough it won't be :)
Raska 5 Jul, 2015 @ 12:26pm
Good job. Maybe that last bloodmask is a bit 2 exagerated ...
