"Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\cfg
if you dont have the "autoexec.cfg" create one called "autoexec.txt" without the quotes, then open it, and save it, then rename it to "autoexec.cfg" without quotes then save it then open Left 4 Dead 2, open the console and type "exec autoexec" and there is it!"
:(
then open valve.rc
valve.rc file should look like this:
// load the base configuration
//exec default.cfg
// Setup custom controller
exec joystick.cfg
// run a user script file if present
exec autoexec.cfg
//
// stuff command line statements
//
stuffcmds
Copy if its needed to make it easier
if not, try this and then name the autoexec file to "autoexec.cfg" (we need to go discarding to see what the problem is)
