That's fair.

Hi. I have a mod for a Risk 2210 variant that used some of the minis from T.I.. Half of them don't load anymore. :{ Is it ok if i use some of your minis? I'll credit you in the mod description of course.
PsiComa  [author] 28 May, 2020 @ 4:11pm
Thanks for the warning. But this is a heavily modded game in both rules and assets, with a lot of original art and stuff. So i don't think Shattered Ascension is in danger.
Tragic 7 May, 2020 @ 7:35am
Asmodee/FFG have been aggressively taking down FFG games form this place.. I strongly recommend you move the mod to a webpage, NExus and players do a backup. There is a strong chance it will be deleted any day now form steam.

Thanks, much appreciated :) Our chill Discord-community is there if you need contenders, or if you have questions about rules and such. Have fun!

Just found this. I missed playing TI back in the day. Very nice mod with a LOT of work put in. Good, long game for these lockdown-y times. Good job, guys. Cheers. ;)

A lot of games are being run in the community. and we approach a more and more stable and finished product. While we are at a point were we can easily drop the beta-tag, there is always room for this game to evolve further if potential improvements are identified. So whether we call it a beta or not doesn't really matter.

Shattered Ascension have already incorporated everything worthwhile from TI4, so instead of regarding it as a TI3 mod, we prefer considering it the ultimate Twilight Imperium game regardless of editions.
Tragic 18 Jul, 2019 @ 3:22pm
did this ever get finished and move out of beta? Also are you planning to build a TI4 version?
PsiComa  [author] 12 Feb, 2019 @ 2:06pm
Thanks, man! I see you joined the Discord server as well. Be sure to upvote the mod :)
Squidzilla1980 8 Feb, 2019 @ 7:27pm
This is a great version of TI3 and an awesome way to play online, thanks!

Thanks, man! Much appreciated, but no need, though. Just smash that like button and join the Discord community! Great games going on frequently :)

Mod Update: The universe is expanding.
-12 new never-seen-before tiles are added to TI3SA. They will appear in new upcoming maps as well as revisions of old maps.
PsiComa  [author] 9 Jan, 2018 @ 8:02am
Yo, cool. Thanks for saying that. Don't forget to join the Discord community, aaaaight.
mega karaczan 9 Jan, 2018 @ 3:57am
Yo, just wanted to say: excellent work, thanks.
PsiComa  [author] 10 Dec, 2017 @ 5:12am
Ok, the problems with connecting to ongoing games should be fixed now. Again, apologies for the inconvenience.
PsiComa  [author] 6 Dec, 2017 @ 12:42am
We're sorry about the problems the mod have had after the later TTS network code update. We'll investigate and see if we can mitigate the problems somewhat.
PsiComa  [author] 3 Dec, 2017 @ 3:38pm
Ten all-new system tiles made and will be added to the mod this christmas.
PsiComa  [author] 21 Aug, 2017 @ 6:19am
This is true.. in TI3:SA, there are other balancing factors than plastic limits around. Fewer resources, more incentives to skirmish, etc.
Cyrusa  [author] 20 Aug, 2017 @ 8:49am
Or you can simply forget the unit limit and play the game. These unit limits are not a balancing factor at all and you can perfectly play without them. With the exception of the War Sun one, but this one is easy to count: max 3 War Suns.
Pizzatiger 19 Aug, 2017 @ 5:40pm
Could you label the ships and turn the models into bags which carry that type of ships equal to the max you can hold. That would make playing the mod so much easier to play for new players!

@ Tragic. Yes and no.

The Technology Tree got completly Reworked and all Actions and Political Cards as well as the 8 Strategy Cards were completly redone. Also the Races got rebalanced. If you just take what's printed there as face value and ignore all the rule changes you can play a pretty normal game of TI but i'd highly recommend checking out the changes as they all make the game a better experience. Also there is a big community which has nearly daily sessions for this variant of the game.
Tragic 25 Jul, 2017 @ 1:58am
can you play the original version with thrse assents?
Cyrusa  [author] 21 May, 2017 @ 2:19pm
Oh, and I forgot the SA discord server [discord.gg] where you can find the community.
Cyrusa  [author] 21 May, 2017 @ 1:25pm
What do you mean by hi-def tokens for the other expansions?
Cyrusa  [author] 21 May, 2017 @ 1:24pm
Shattered Ascension is a community-made redesign of Twilight Imperium 3 plus both expansions.
The main goals were to improve balance, flexibility, dynamics, streamlining and flavour while staying true to the concept and overall feeling of Twilight Imperium 3 and its universe.

I don't think i've heard of shattered ascention, is it new? Also, are there new hi-def tokens for the other expansions as well?

I'm interested in gaming through the Discord channel at 1pm EST. Please join me in the channel at that time if interested

BTW we played a RL version with asteroid fileds and stargates (sorry world gates :)). really cool extras
PsiComa  [author] 29 Apr, 2017 @ 5:13pm
Hi, there. Those cards you mentioned are relics after previous versions and should really not be there. Will take a look and clean things up. Thanks.
Chef 29 Apr, 2017 @ 8:37am
Hay question;

I was looking through the race assets box and noticed some other unused ratial technologies kicking around (refueling drones for the L1Z1X), are those supposed to be used in some alternate game mode or as replacements, and if so is there a way to set them to appear automatically, without having to dig through 4 layers of menus to get them?
PsiComa  [author] 13 Apr, 2017 @ 1:49am
2000 subscribers today! That's a lot of potential fellow gamers to play with, and I'd like to take the oppotunity to remind everyone about the vibrant, friendly and awesome TI3:SA Steam Group- and the official Discord channel [discord.gg]. Check it out if you're interested in easy-and-efficient recruitment for the frequently running games, or just want to chat or ask about the game. A lot of insightful people will help out with questions immediately.

Also, let me thank everyone for their interest in the game and the project. Cheers!
PsiComa  [author] 24 Mar, 2017 @ 2:34am
Ah, I misread the question. He means placing the tiles as in the vanilla setup procedure. Yes, you can definitely do this, by using the correct grid-snapping settings. No problem. However I think it's largely a waste of time and the maps will 99.99% of the time be worse and less balaced than well designed maps, but hey. I can understand the enthusiasm for the classic map building, and the promise of discovery and wonder and excitement it brings. A promise that never ever delivers in the following 6-hour game, but in itself, it can be a fun excersise. Especially if using Star by Star, since then strategic placement will weigh more than just the hand you're dealt.. and you could actually end up with something interesting too.
Cyrusa  [author] 23 Mar, 2017 @ 12:51pm
srgoldiner318: Also would like to know will we be able to make our own maps like in the real tabel top game. if this is so i'm looking into getting this, as i have the real game.

Do you mean making map tokens (the ones stored in the bags at the bottom that deploys the preset maps instantly)? Or do you refer to the setup procedure of the base game where you build the galaxy?
PsiComa  [author] 23 Mar, 2017 @ 3:07am
Cool! Why don't you spectate a game at some point and see how awesome it is? Voice chats are done over Discord, but I don't think most people mind a spectator.
srgoldiner318 22 Mar, 2017 @ 5:55pm
ok. i'm still going to follow this, as it looks great. keep up the great work.
PsiComa  [author] 22 Mar, 2017 @ 4:34pm
Hi there, and thanks for liking the art :)
As to your question... TI3:SA is a venture for an optimized package and a community standard for how to play this game. We will likely not spend time on setting up the vanilla TI3 game (if that's what you're referring to as 'base game'), for several reasons; 1) there's already a mod out there for the vanilla, but with fewer active players. 2) I don't want to tangle with potential copyright issues, so we've changed most of the graphics and card contents (but for the better!). 3) No, I'm definitely not going to spend my time on making something else when we've got a great community toghether playing this game.
srgoldiner318 22 Mar, 2017 @ 4:22pm
is this going to let you play the base game with out the 2 expansions. Love the graphics as well. Also would like to know will we be able to make our own maps like in the real tabel top game. if this is so i'm looking into getting this, as i have the real game.
PsiComa  [author] 6 Feb, 2017 @ 12:49am
New maps are on the way to the mod. Stay tuned.

"How was wednesdays game?"
I don't know. I was not there.

"Can you guys record your next game and put it on youtube?"
This is something that can be contemplated. I tried a few times to record, but failed to follow up. ^^

"Should I get the single or 4 pack for TTS? Can I run the 4 pack on 4 different computers?"
I never tried 4 packs of anything. From my research, when buying one, you get a copy of TTS, and 3 other copies of TTS that you can gift to your steam friends' accounts

Cyrusa  [author] 15 Jan, 2017 @ 6:55am
The bug I mentioned a few posts below has been fixed by the latest Tabletop Simulator hotfix.
Rexregum 14 Jan, 2017 @ 11:07am
Cyrusa, thanks, ill try that out
Cyrusa  [author] 14 Jan, 2017 @ 9:22am
@RexRegum Here is the save file. Place it in /Documents/My Games/Tabletop Simulator/Saves, and you should see it in TTS when attempting to load a game.

@RexRegum
I'll fix a few problems with the scripts this afternoon. So I can send you a save of the game after that (that you can place in your saves folder so you can load it as if you had made the save yourself). Would that be ok?
Cyrusa  [author] 14 Jan, 2017 @ 3:59am
There is currently a bug with TableTop Simulator, that messes up with the scaling of various boards in the mod _for the clients only_ (not the host). Note though that it only affects what the clients _see_, stuff won't actually fall through the gaps.

There is no ETA on when the TTS team will fix this bug yet, but the problem is starting to get noticed and reported.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Rexregum 13 Jan, 2017 @ 9:10pm
So, can I get your files without steam? I'd like to look at them.
PsiComa  [author] 13 Jan, 2017 @ 12:25am
My work is free and I don't get paid squat. But thanks for the compliments :)
The video above shows quite clearly what to expect from the mod.. and if you're unsure about buying TTS, I would just keep it my wishlist and wait for the next sale. It's 50% off from time to time.
Rexregum 12 Jan, 2017 @ 7:13pm
BTW your model work is beautiful
PsiComa  [author] 10 Jan, 2017 @ 12:41pm
That's a good question. At the very least someone can set up a game in which you can join and then save it; it would be practically the same has having access to the Steam workshop mod -- except certain updates.
