- Phantasy Star 4 - Dungeon Arrange 2 (from Chapter 3)
- Phantasy Star 4 - The black blood (from Chapter 4)
. . .but only the last one is original ver, where can I find Last Battle and D.A.2 from The Ascent?

@Boshy. Four years later, lol, but most of the music were from my favorite old JRPGs iirc. Lufia (not sure #), Lunar (not sure #), Phantasy Star 4.

@Tyl_Zaniah awesome, glad you liked it. surprised you got through without a pally. i remember making it pretty damn hard to get around without a pally, doing that without must have taken some patience. thanks for the props, tho I totally get it is definitely not everyones cup of tea!

Strats were using thief attack/knives to block blue towers and using body blocking/dodge on the arrow trap towards the end :)

AMAZING map honestly, loved it and it was really fun working around the areas where Paladin was required!

infinite lives in a must, at least if you want to complete the map within a reasonable time frame. if you want to have pain, play on hardcore. oh and buy the way, fuck the fire maze

Hello, I do belive that multiple people have complained about this, but I found the spike area on floor 7 to be completly impossible to cross.
I have completed the entirety of floor 7 excluding anything beyond the spike pit and one southeastern area that is barred off.
Other than that impassable area, great map! (although the spike maze was kinda bull!%@#)

Hi Djala1. There's definitely something strange randomly occurring with the spikes in Floors 7 and 8. However, in my playthroughs, problems only occur when I leave floor 8 and go to floor 7. Consequently, the latest version does not allow you to leave floor 8 until it's finished. Unfortunately, another user later informed me of the problem occurring on floor 7 only. I am going to look at it a little more in the near future.

Im only half way through this (roughly) and man is it a great map thus far. Im stuck on floor 7 with the spike area. i dont know if its bugged on me or not but ill figure this out. Im entranced by this map man. Excellent job! Will definitely be replaying with some friends

To me this map felt like a throwback to the oldschool games where you really had to learn your character's class in order to the beat the game which is why it cannot be done without a Paladin.

I really enjoyed the puzzles and unique bosses and the ending was very interesting. I only acquired 2 Gold Keys and I assume the third unlocks the secret act which I will attempt again in the future to see but most importantly this is a well planned and executed map and well worth any decent player's time!

Thank you; glad it was enjoyable! I'll definitely think about adding something simple at the beginning for a paladin's dash, and I'll throw some of those markers around the bigger plants.

holy shit that was a quest of death!

On my playthrough we had still loads of lives, but a HUGE deathcount.
It would be wise to have a smaller puzzle required for paladin only in the beginning + signs. Incase a player didn't chose paladin so the players can quit without losing loads of progress. It takes sometime to get to the paladin-required-puzzles.

Other than that this was a very enjoyable map with a lot of varied gameplay, well done!

I never thought about removing the collision detection on the bat spawners. Going out of town today, but I'll get on that before the end of the week.

Would you please elaborate on the ground markings? Were multiple flowers damaging you just too annoying?

Please let me know if you remember any other issues.

This was a really fun level! I love that paper puzzle idea, I'll be sure to remember that, a great puzzle! This level, with the music and also reminds me a little of Zelda 3 AND the dark misty feel, reminds me of Faxanadu, an old nes game with great atmosphere. These bosses were also cool, the huge flower, don't know why we never did that in the original campaign, I'll be sure to remember that for Hw2.

There's a huge potential crash/bug though, the bat that spawns spawners, you need to remove the collision from the dead spanws in that level, cause he and the player can get trapped and never get out, you also get stuck everywhere after a while. Great idea othervise, very fun.

There were a few other things, I can't remember them all, but at least, use those ground markings around the flowers, cause as for now, really annoying when you don't know where they can strike, press F8 (I think in the editor) to see the flower/tower radius.

Map has been updated for a smoother experience, and solo should be less burdensome in the first area. It is now also possible to leave the 'final' boss room once it is defeated to backtrack throughout the castle...

Known bug: Once on level 8, any subsequent level change will lead to buggy spikes on levels 7 and 8. No idea why, and not sure how to fix. Consequently, once on level 8, you can now no longer go back downstairs prior to completing the floor (i.e. you won't need to go back through spikes).

I'm sure many people will miss the ongoing secret throughout the campaign, so I will explain. If you want to complete the secret, you can backtrack throughout the castle until you enter the fourth boss room.


There are three mini-bosses (Knight boss textures with blood coloring) throughout the castle in 'secret' locations. Once you kill one, find the rune next to its spawn area for one of three required gold keys. Once you have the three gold keys, I recommend you look around instead of sitting on the throne immediately. All of the three Knights can be reached without keys.

Solo'ed it and I say it's a great map, difficult areas are very forgiving with the high life pool people can access. Along with extreme areas that require a large halt in progress speed.

Also (Spoiler) The general tile puzzle area was innovative, although I do find it a bothersome task to go fetch a pen and paper to translate the code. Finally was there a secret ending to touching the throne?

As a side note, it might not be clear that the upgrade areas in this map are bonfires (ala Dark Souls). Simply find one, stand by it, and open it like any other merchant.

This map was designed specifically for local co-op due to shared camera and respawn mechanics, but it should still be enjoyable online. I recommend double lives!!!!
