any instruction? i tried to guess using the deployment timer. but the rig just flips onto its side..

under this consept i would love to see your VC work in terms of base both via drop and normal base

you could strap a drill so it would be a drill pod to drop the pod and then automaticly mine on the surface of the planet and you could get it later

Have you ever come back to look at these? You know since planets are out and everything.

to avoid block breakage you could add suspention wheels to dampen the landing
but other than that it looks like it works great

another idea is use the space ball, cuz it's got an opation for minimize bounce and then theres the friction setting which can be use to stop it from sliding, i know this works fo planetery landing cuz i've used as landing gear for a small large ship that was over 1mil kg. these opations keep working even when the space ball is turned off

thx :), if i think of anything else, ill let ya know :), keep the awesome blueprints comming :D, i love your stuff

Interesting idea! Might have to give that a shot :)

just an idea, (and i havent tried this yet) but you might experiment with using drills to help soften the impact just a bit more, to shave off that last bit of damage to the base structure. ive seen large ship drills survive and still work after a 25m/s impact with an asteroid. this could potentially help reduce the distance from the surface from which you have to be to deploy it correctly, which in turn, increases the accuracy of the deployment. just a thought. like i said, i havent tried it.

Excellent design!
Nioreux 17 Jul, 2015 @ 6:57pm
still cool anyways

@WolfLordUprisising: I'm stumped then; there are no mass cubes on this pod
@The Milkman: I fully expect that I'll need to chage these, all I hope to do with these is start to develop and understanding of the concept. I expect to be able to apply at least some of the things I've learned from this to whatever I end up doing when planets come out. Thanks for stopping by! :)

We have no idea how the natural gravity is going to work yet. You really should hold off for a bit before releasing these becuase they probably wont work.
Nioreux 17 Jul, 2015 @ 9:04am
i wasent moving was their mass cubes on it?
EdgarAllanPwn  [author] 16 Jul, 2015 @ 7:55pm
@Spaz_marine - thanks for offering! :)
EdgarAllanPwn  [author] 16 Jul, 2015 @ 7:54pm
If you pasted it into the world while moving (in creative), it inherited your momentum which would be why it came into the world drifting - I would bet. Try using F8 mode in creative while staying still to paste it in near your engineer; it shouldn't move at all then :)
Nioreux 16 Jul, 2015 @ 4:55pm
ill try
Nioreux 16 Jul, 2015 @ 4:55pm
yes it satrted adrift i couldent catch up to start it...
Kairon-338 ⚠ 16 Jul, 2015 @ 2:51pm
thank you for accepting my service
EdgarAllanPwn  [author] 16 Jul, 2015 @ 2:12pm
I see - did it just drift to the ground then? In order for it to work, you'll need to paste it in and start the "deploymet sequence start timer". Hope that helps, let me know if there's still a problem - thanks!
Nioreux 16 Jul, 2015 @ 9:18am
1. yes it was not the test world it was the planet world
2. no it was quite far up and it was drifting so fastwhen i spawned it in
EdgarAllanPwn  [author] 15 Jul, 2015 @ 7:49pm
I just tested the blueprint and it worked fine for me. Did you have it starting close to the surface?
Also, did you load the blueprint into your own world or use the Void Corp test world? Sorry for the trouble!
Nioreux 15 Jul, 2015 @ 7:15am
when i spawned it
in
Nioreux 15 Jul, 2015 @ 7:14am
mine just derped out and landed head first into the ground like a idiot =C
EdgarAllanPwn  [author] 15 Jul, 2015 @ 6:02am
@spaz_marine and MrWhitey: Thanks!
@mr.johnson2060: I haven't, but thanks for mentioning it - I'll have to check that out - and thanks!
Johnson 15 Jul, 2015 @ 2:26am
1st: Nice work.
2nd: Have you tried the 'Super Sensor 100 km' mod by OrbitUN? So far i didn't but i could fix that issue your were talking about in your video.
3rd: Again, nice work.
Parszywy Lisi Bobek 14 Jul, 2015 @ 1:19am
GENIUS! ;o I love that gyro-like sensor thing :D
Kairon-338 ⚠ 13 Jul, 2015 @ 5:48pm
If you ever need a extra person for your vids I would be happy to help.
Vinier McNuggNugg 13 Jul, 2015 @ 3:46pm
me to ;)
i MIGHT use mods. but just for the drill bit. i will try the unmodded version first.
EdgarAllanPwn  [author] 13 Jul, 2015 @ 2:53pm
lol, and please link what you build so I can see - you've got me all curious! :)
Vinier McNuggNugg 12 Jul, 2015 @ 12:42pm
i also like how in the video it didnt give a fuck and just rammed the surface lol
Vinier McNuggNugg 12 Jul, 2015 @ 12:40pm
oh sheit i know what im going to make. ill refrence you in the description as a inspiration
Vinier McNuggNugg 12 Jul, 2015 @ 12:39pm
