Didn't CTD for me, but the Silk Road is broken. The Silk Road modifier is missing from the Holding Window in provinces where the Silk Road is supposedly present. Thus preventing me from building a trade post on the trade node. The modifiers for the other trade routes show up in the Holding Window, though. Additionally, on a more amusing note, there's a trade node for the Sahara Desert wasteland.

This mod is dead and sucks that it is considering the trade routes in vanilla are only in the eastern portion of the map so it really kills the trade mechanic for European nations and the dev hasn't touched it in years so F in the chat

For some reason each time i use this mod some modifyers are not working, i dont know if its because of the other mods im using or in general but it seems to be happening in general.

I managed to get the mod working when i also have the Cultural Bonus mod by Maal on. Dont ask me why this works, it just does. The mod still has one problem though, you cannot build trade posts along the silk road and the saharan gold route, but that can be easily fixed by renaming the silk and saharan routes in the game files and in the mod files to something like "the silkish route"

This mod was only compatible with vanilla map. It was never compatible with any mod that changes the map (agot, hip, ck2+, ltt) because you create trade routes by typing provinces. It has stopped working some time ago as it was last updated in 2015 and CK2 had multiple major updates afterwards. If you like you can check mine or any other trade related mod.

So if I don't have Horse Lords, what would happen if I downloaded this mod? I'm in the middle of a Scandinavian game, but I don't have HL. I don't really want to buy the DLC but I want a trade route through the nearby lands

It needs to be updated. I'm waiting to dive into HF myself (haven't bought the expansion, waiting for Paradox to release the fix patch before playing), but I'll probably update the mod quickly afterwards.

Why are some provinces red, and hovering silk road icon does not show the tooltip? 1066 start

That's really odd and shouldn't be happening. But then again, I'm a programmer. I should be used to things going on that shouldn't be going on.

I looked at the events again. I was wrong. These events are statically timed against each other, with the next event firing a set number of days afterward. I honestly don't know what might cause these events to trigger incorrectly.

@Coolguybest The other mods I ran at the time, I believe, were Cultural Bonuses, Friendly non agression pacts, Legendary bloodlines, Shattered World, Unique Buildings, Vassals' culture spread, and [VS] Your own bloodline. There may be others that I have sinse disabled but those are the ones I know for sure. The strange thing is, is that I disabled each andf every one of them individually and tested and the problem only appeared when this mode was active.

@Coolguybest sorry for the little inconvenience, i fixed it and it wasn't because of any mod i think. I accidentally fixed this problem when i tried to fix the "Processing flags" Crash. a.k.a removed every existing file when i uninstalled CkII. So i kinda fixed it accidentally.

Do you think it could be conflicting with other mods that you're running? Perhaps one might, when a raid returns, add a province modifier that Trade++ overwrites. What other mods are you running? Have you made any changes to the files?

Same thing as WildfireKTK, Trade++ doesn't even touch those event files. The only events the mod deals with are "job_trader.txt" and "trade.txt". No other event should be modified by this mod, and those events' timers are coded inside of themselves. Like I asked above, are you running any other mods? Are there any changed to the files I should know about?

awesome mod, however I did find a bug. For some reason your mod affects the time for events and ambitions, the ones I found were search for a smith and see realm prosper both no longer having a cooldown a cooldown, the latter fulfillig in just a day

@WildfireKTK I find this extremely interesting, considering this mod does not even touch the files that would contain the code for raiding. I only updated the files to the more recent content, so things relating to things like raiding would be unaffected by this mod.

@Carrier I looked into it, but I'm still able to build there... but that was after I cleaned up a redundant section of the code that may have been causing problems. Try the new version and tell me if the problem persists.

When i try to build a trade post in Middlesex game says it should be on Silk Road so i cant build it. Help me please.

for some reason i can't launch the game with this mod :/

Each of the trade routes on their own seems to be weaker... I'll make a secondary version quick, and you can tell me if it works better. There's a lot of factors to this, including that the routes affect the holdings it passes through.

Do you just want it to be weaker via the wealth, or should I take out the tax modifiers and trade route values, too?
