haha thanks, I wouldn't say it is impossible, but it certainly takes a bit of practice, and it WILL eventually fall over even when you get the hang of it ;P

up down up down. Just takes a bit of practice to get the timings right, try and keep the center of gravity slightly forward. If you accidentally stop, take it slow and try to build up momentum again. Or you can just flail the arms around in circles. That's fun too. :P

oh man I would love that, though big builds like that are usually a bit beyond me... and no, Wolf, it is not a monkey, it is a character from the movie Interstellar, the movement is certainly similar to an ape though, but it is more so in my version compared to the movie, as I had to put pistons at the ends of the legs so they didn't catch on the floor and make him fall over (even more than usual :P )

I really like that you kept the bits where your machine tumbled over and messed up, rather than cutting those out and keeping the video "perfect" like most people would. Makes it feel more realistic and original :D

Thanks for all the great comments. I certainly intend to make more stuff in the future, probably not specifically related to this, though I do want to try my hand at the rolling one again, I'm sure it's possible... I also intend to make more portal 2 maps, and over the next 6-18 months I am also intending to develop a full game, I have just quit my job as a takeaway delivery driver as it was making me very little money whilst tying up my whole week with random hours, so I am now looking for something that pays the bills week to week whilst allowing me the free time to persue my creative ambitions, and seeing all this positive response is really overwhelming and inspiring to me, so thanks, I just ask people to bear with me, these things, they take time... ;)
