My issue with the mod is that all my warriors could build roads, they also only did range attacks

I noticed a bug/issue that melee units can only attack twice in open terrain and can perform another action after attacking if it was in open terrain while having neither benefit in rough terrain. I think If you made it so they had blitz instead of a unique "may attack twice" promotion it would resolve the problem.

Also you could implement a "super saiyan" promotion once a unit reaches level 10, since it's the cap and each unit can only recieve 30 exp from barbarians so it can't be farmed, where it doubles the units strength and gives the effects of survivalism 1 and 2 or something along those lines.

I know you're planning to make your civ balanced, but I think the Saiyan Warriors should upgrade to Riflemen instead of Musketmen and make them obsolete at Rifling. Otherwise it's a downgrade once you research Gunpowder and can't produce Saiyan Warriors anymore.

By the way, do you still plan some DBZ civs or at least keep them updated? I'm currently also trying to make a DBZ civilization, with an unique gameplay.

well a single unit that was a super sayain would not be too overpowerd llike you can only have one

Such a legendary figure would be akin to a Great General who could fight. This is not unheard of in Civ5; others have made such(The most recent that comes to mind is the Lu Bu Forces civ, who has Lu Bu as a replacement for the Great General).

Hmm. You might consider reworking their unit progression. You note in the unit description that Saiyans are far better than guns. And hell, we see what they do to our regular tech early in the series. So why are they bothering with muskets and Great War Infantry? I mean, I'm sure they'd like Giant Death Robots, but everything else?

Look up the 'Eugenists' and 'Artificers' civs here on Workshop as(Admittedly OP) examples-they have adjusted unit progression; all biological and all mechanical respectively.

Correct, if you wanted to be overpowered, find some sort of Mod that will make you pretty much OP. But you won't find it in the my DBZ Civilizations. They are created to be balanced against other DBZ Civilizations and for nostalgia of course.

Exactly, I completely agree. I find it difficult to enjoy a game when you are simply too strong for anyone else to pose any actual threat to you. I know that some people enjoy playing like that, but I am definitely not one of them. If it isn't a challenge, then what's the point, right?

That is exactly the reason in which I don't change the current way in which the Saiyan Race's trait works. This is as much as I can do without making it a extremely overpowered race. I like to have my Civilization be balanced against one another at the very least.

Stephen, you could probably get it to give some kind of upgrade that stacks or something, but honestly, I feel like it could be easily abused and make someone way too powerful If you tried to boost a few units to be overly upgraded rather than go for the "look at me, I have no gold because my army covers the planet."

I don't know if the game's programming will allow what I'm going to suggest, but here it goes:

When a melee unit destroys an enemy, but is reduced to 25% or less health in the attack, it recieves a permanent Attack Strength boost when the unit heals back up to full health. There is no limit to how many times a single unit can do this.

I didn't really think of the numbers involved, but I thought it would be a great way to do the "Saiyans get stronger every time they almost die" concept

i just thought of something! the zenkai boosts in the show increase a sayans power everytime he almost dies OR dies...so how about this, for every 10 damage done to a meele unit,they get a bonus the next turn

Slightly stronger warriors make no sense.
NO ONE attacks with warriors and if you do you cripple yourself late game... :\

Instead make all non armoured/mounted melee units receive free march, drill 1 and shock 1 promotions, that would make the Saiyan race extremely scary to fight.
Much more so then even Shaka with an impy rush... XD

Change “Honor” to “Sayian Pride” or something.
Change Great Profits to Kias
Change Generals to common characters like goku, vegata, ect…
Other Civs like the Majin Empire, Andriods, Ect..
Change unit art to look like sayians for sayian empire, androids, etc..
There is a huge potential here to mad a total DBZ Conversion mod. I would love to help but I have NO Modding experience.

Kinda simple, but otherwise a good attempt. Was hoping to see something involving Oozarus being a REALLY overpowered siege unit for taking cities, kinda similar to the ram or siege tower. lol if only someone could make the model for it.

I had some problems with the meat factory. It didnt give my cattle +2 food as it should and neither did it help with bananas or wheat (although i'm not sure it would change these last two).

Version 2 has been updated! Warrior model is fixed and changed, Typos corrected, and now you can have Dragon Ball Kai music playing as a custom soundtrack!

Thank you for all those who have given me their support and subscribed to DBZ Saiyan Civilization! I am currently working on fixing the two current issues for the mod. Afterward, I might create another DBZ Civ. If you have suggestions, please feel free to give them.
