The reson for the caps that early in the game isn't due to a limit of ships. It's due to the limited amount of available RU's you can mine that early in the game. :steamsalty:

shit, again? man, for years this engine has barely changed, and now gearbox flips the entire directory structure on me. Anyone else having the same issues?

Honestly, the only reason I made mine was because I wanted to power through HW 1 & 2 (I had never played them to completion) before playing Deserts of Kharak and yours didn't work at the time. That's the only reason it exists. Yours is the original and it now works, do I personally don't see a reason for mine to be there.

And as you pointed out, I made my mod without ever having played through the game, so my caps were totally wacky (like having the shipyard cap higher than 1 when there's no way to even build more than one shipyard). You obviously have more experience with the intricasies of the game than I do.

Updated. Fixed cause of broken-ness: file structure changes made to scripts folder. Advertised limits less restrictive (albeit more sensible) than @IndigoAK's mod in the comment below.

I cant get this to work in the campaign, it still shows the original limits. I go through teh mods button i nthe launcher, select HW Remastered, tick the HW1 Campaign checkbox, then select teh mod so it appears on the right, i then launch the game. But if it laod a save, or restart a level, no change. Am i doing something wrong?

The unit caps for 1.3 are stored in the patch data. DataUpdates/UpdateHomeworld2.big.

They moved a lot of stuff there apparently, going from all the other mods I've looked at. It's why so many broke.

I just thought you should know, I've uploaded a version of your mod (well, I didn't edit your mod, but I edited the same file) that works with the newest patch, which yours doesn't seem to do ( I tested it with HW1 and didn't see any change in the unit caps). Since yours doesn't work anymore, I'm wondering if you want to edit your description to link to mine or I can add you as a contributor on my mod. Whatever works best for you.

GBX has changed the file arrangements and string locations for many of the files in game. Almost all mods are going to be affected.

This mod stopped working for me for some reason. It worked fine up until I saved the game during the Movers mission and now I can't get the new pop levels even with a restart.

you mean salvettes? I don't think so, the Huge option doesn't limit individual ships, only classes (so if you have no other corvettes, you can have 180).

@DJ Arghlex you can enable single player from the command line options (bottom of the mods launcher) or through one of the checkboxes on the side. Also, I don't think this mod will take effect if you load from a save game.

Yes, "Homeworld 2 Beta" is what it says wen you don't have multiplayer or either of the campaigns selected. (Unless the mod changes this)

It does that when you load mods. I think there's a command line switch you have to tell the launcher to use, but I don't know it exactly.
