Armor Panels Mod Pack Update Notes(Update: June 6/7/2023): Mod Update: Entire Skin System Overhaul
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

=>Fixed the Square 1x1x1 panel had the wrong icon- This was caused by the Block Variants Group.sbc file. I noticed it today and it was driving me crazy.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Armor Panels Mod Pack Update Notes(Update: May 5/18/2023): Mod Update: Entire Skin System Overhaul
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

=>I have rewritten all 5,473 lines of code so All of the skins now work with every block in these mods.

=>Fixed all of the skins for the blocks. Most were overhauled and some were tweaked and some were left alone because they were good. (Too many to list and I didn't keep notes because it was very late in the day.)

=>All of these changes to the skins and textures and stuff are all retroactive- So when you load into your worlds you will notice the difference right away.

=>If there's any skins you don't like let me know in the comments and I am more than happy to take a second look.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SEModder4  [ophavsmand] 18. maj 2023 kl. 16:42
OK, Firstly!
Awesome news- The changes I make in this code are indeed retroactive- Which means you won't have to replace blocks for the skin changes to take effect for most of the skins that I have tweaked and fixed this giant update. :)
SEModder4  [ophavsmand] 18. maj 2023 kl. 16:38
I am back officially and 100% better now- Some RL(real-life) issues kinda destroyed me, so it took a few years for me to come back. Sorry :(
I am working on adding All of the skins to support all the blocks in this mod right now.
I am about 65-70% done and will have this massive update out tonight. :D
Also massive fixes for all of the blocks using the skins- In my testing it wasn't retroactive unfortunately. But let me do some more testing before I confirm that is the case. I want you all to see the new textures I have chosen for the skins and TRUST ME- THEY. ARE.... GLORIOUS!!!
Deapri 26. juli 2022 kl. 19:02
Fair point, I'd not noticed why I prefer these over theirs...
SEModder4  [ophavsmand] 25. juli 2022 kl. 17:30
Although the textures in this mod for the panels seem to blend together better than Keen's.
There's seem odd to me when placing multiples.
Deapri 25. juli 2022 kl. 17:19
It I think would have been nice if they had just included all of the panels from this mod, the panels I think look exactly the same, the ones which are redundant, so I suppose for a clean selection, maybe if they are present hide the ones from one or the other I dunno. While it is nice when things are updated to the main files, blueprints would need to be updated etc. I have found these are the most up to date with the modern texturing system and use the same dimensions and textures keen uses, more likely they are using the models from this set.
SEModder4  [ophavsmand] 25. juli 2022 kl. 15:07
Dang :(
Deapri 25. juli 2022 kl. 14:31
Keen panels are most of these but not the 2x2 ones, there are many which are redundancies now.
SEModder4  [ophavsmand] 25. juli 2022 kl. 13:33
I haven't looked into Keen's armor panels yet. but I might do that now that they made them.
C.K. Kirbi 24. juli 2022 kl. 16:46
What is the difference between these armor panels and core game armor panels? It's been so long since I played that I had no idea that core added such things.
Is it healthy to presume that these have much more health than core's panels?
SEModder4  [ophavsmand] 3. juni 2022 kl. 9:03
no problem. :D
Deapri 2. juni 2022 kl. 23:55
Well, now I just feel silly for having missed that obvious difference.
SEModder4  [ophavsmand] 2. juni 2022 kl. 20:15
This mod contains only the armor panels and not the ramps. :)
Deapri 2. juni 2022 kl. 7:19
@SEModder4™ what is the difference between this and the other two versions you maintain, if it is not too much trouble?
SEModder4  [ophavsmand] 16. apr. 2021 kl. 8:03
safe to switch, subttype id is the same across both mods. :D
DontFollowOrders 16. apr. 2021 kl. 7:47
If I have builds with UncleSte's version of Armor Panels and I switch to this, will the blocks vanish or did they get the same SubtypeID and stuff?
SEModder4  [ophavsmand] 11. dec. 2020 kl. 8:46
@Sanderino,
I don't have my 3d modelling program anymore since I switched to a new PC.
If you have time and maybe up for a project. Could you try to make solar panels as panels? Would be awsome to have solar panels as thin as panels so we could make more compact satellites and ships :)
SEModder4  [ophavsmand] 3. dec. 2020 kl. 8:49
They are all set to be Airtight = True.
So it has to be the windows causing it but I will look.
737✈Garrus 3. dec. 2020 kl. 5:46
There is an air leak through the Armor Panel Angle 1X1X2 Large Grid, IDK on small.
I used this Air Leak Detector to find where my ship didn't seal shut: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?l=swedish&id=514062285
Here's a shot of the detector finding the leak: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2307296226
SEModder4  [ophavsmand] 31. okt. 2020 kl. 17:50
yep :D
UnLimiTeD 31. okt. 2020 kl. 17:22
Ah, ok, so like catwalk, but armoured? Neat. Gotta try that out.
SEModder4  [ophavsmand] 31. okt. 2020 kl. 15:27
They also work with Keens armor skins too.
SEModder4  [ophavsmand] 31. okt. 2020 kl. 15:27
Yes new blocks that are thin like panels.
UnLimiTeD 31. okt. 2020 kl. 15:23
I mean, what is it? Is it new blocks? Or skins for existing blocks? From the description, I assume it contains some slope angle that may not be in the game normally?
SEModder4  [ophavsmand] 31. okt. 2020 kl. 13:55
What do you mean?
UnLimiTeD 31. okt. 2020 kl. 11:14
Ok, just looking at the description, I have no idea what this is doing.
Helratz 26. sep. 2020 kl. 10:05
I looked. Couldn't find anything. Closest was a landing gear that looked like a shoe, but that's not even close.
SEModder4  [ophavsmand] 26. sep. 2020 kl. 8:18
There should be a mod that does mech feet I'm pretty sure.
Helratz 26. sep. 2020 kl. 8:17
Well even without the texture. What do you think. Is that something that could be done. I have 0 experience modding so I don't have a clue. I just don't understand why no one seems to have ever tried making something like that.
SEModder4  [ophavsmand] 26. sep. 2020 kl. 7:59
Textures aren't my thing sadly, so I'm not sure
Helratz 26. sep. 2020 kl. 7:44
Hey SEModder4 I love your work and have a question. How hard would it be to make a block with the same shape as your typical square or triangle panel block with the friction functionality and texture of a wheel? In other words soles for the bottom of MECH feet. I've looked all over the WS and haven't found anything. Regular wheels work, but they're unsightly and offer little customization. Yet they seem to make better friction and take a beating without breaking. Thanks.
Boogaloo 31. juli 2020 kl. 12:20
Update: I just added the airtight and gui definitions to the code and it appears to have fixed the issue.
Boogaloo 31. juli 2020 kl. 12:15
Hi SEModder, I know a user previously noted that the 1x1x1 angled panel was not airtight when placed next to angled windows. However I went to look through the .sbc for it and I did not find <IsAirTight>true</IsAirTight> in the code, and this lines up with my troubleshooting. I removed the windows on my ship, leaving panels surounded by 1x1x1 blocks, it was not airtight. Could just be me though,
SEModder4  [ophavsmand] 26. juni 2020 kl. 17:51
Oh jeez, I'll check tomorrow. :)
DeathCake 26. juni 2020 kl. 17:20
I noticed that sometimes when I try to place an armor panel slope 1x1x1, I am unable to weld it or grind it down. I can walk right through it. When switching to creative mode, it doesn't even register as an object so I am unable to remove it. I haven't tested every single armor panel dimension and shape but out of the ones I tried, this only seems to happen with the Armor Panel Slope 1x1x1.
=>Fixed the Unsupported texture warning in the game log.
SEModder4  [ophavsmand] 25. maj 2020 kl. 15:16
one sec I will pull it's exact g-menu name. :D
Armor Panel 4x1x1 ---search that in the g-menu and it should show up. :)
Rusty290 25. maj 2020 kl. 12:57
Hi, I think I found a bug. The 4x1x1 panel isn't showing up in the menu anymore. But I can still copy the block from before when I placed it. And yessss, I said 4x1x1, even though its not listed in the description.
Paul B. Hartzog 17. maj 2020 kl. 11:56
Yeah, basically I think it's Keen's fault. If a block cannot display a selected texture then it should just display it's default texture, not show as broken with no texture. I don't think that's something the mod can solve, I think it's just a problem in the engine.
SEModder4  [ophavsmand] 17. maj 2020 kl. 7:18
That's how the skins work, they change the texture of the block..
Paul B. Hartzog 16. maj 2020 kl. 19:07
Same as my comment on your other mod(s). Basically if you place the block it inherits whatever material you have chosen, which results in no textures loading, UNLESS you choose "None" as the material, in which case, it looks as it should. You can always just paint it with "None" even after you place it. The direct answer to your question, then, is "all of them." :-)
SEModder4  [ophavsmand] 16. maj 2020 kl. 17:20
Which skin is causing the issue?
