Hiya,
I'd like to ask if I can convert your mod to the Cortex Command Community Project. There's some questions I'd like to ask regarding your code

Try restarting and the usual tech guy help. Sometimes that does work for this game.

@Count Grimhart Even if there is an enemy nearby, it still cloeses in on the person who fired them, unless I get really close and personal to the enemy, this always seems to be the outcome. Of course, if you have not touched this mod in years, I would understand if you did not want to, or couldn't address this issue.

@ŁøřđĦδƄäŕŧ I haven't touched the mod in years, I believe it targets the nearest entity signature, so if nothing is near by, it will eventually come back.

I don't know about anyone else, but It seems I encountered a glitch with the standered type 09 rocket launcher (the one that fires guided missles). The missles, after traveling a short distance seem to suddenly flip around and strike the individual who fired said missile, damaging or killing the individual.

Just a reccomendation, but you should probably add gibs for their dropship. Plus, when you destroy one of their ships, its rockets fly away.

Paste this into a textfile, save it as hov.lua

In hov.rte make a folder named FactionFiles and inside of that another folder named UL2. Put hov.lua in UL2, then add hov.rte on a new line to the end of the Factions.cfg file in voidwanderers.rte/Factions .

In the current version of the mod, the Infantry Heavy loadout uses a Coalition Pulse Digger and a Coalition Auto Pistol, while the Infantry Engineer loadout uses a Pulse Digger.

That's weird, I'll double check the loudouts, they should't posses any Coalition weapons. Why stage IV? It just signifies the version number. If you look at the changelog tab you'll see the other version numbers. I II III IV

So, about them loadouts. They use coalition weapons and tools, wasting money and rendering units less effective.

Well guys, I hope the meta game file is fixed. I was play testing it, and it was working this time around. Yes Mr. Mors, there are plans for other units, and thank you very much. Amperzand, The Tank is a situational unit and is not versatile in any way unfortunetly, However I removed it from meta game and it should no longer take up slots on your base. You would need to drop one in, in order to use it now. hope that fixes your issues :steamhappy:

Aside from definitely needing to tweak the loadouts, I've done some experiments with Campaign mode, and have learned two things; The hover-tank is highly impractical, and the base-building AI puts waay too much priority on it, wasting large amounts of money putting tanks in small corridors where they aren't of much use. You either need to buff the tank, or find a way of preventing the AI from purchasing it without player-input.

Probably just an oversite due to how fast you worked on it, but the presets don't start with any weapons. Other then that, the sprites, sounds, and gun balance is pretty good considering the time you put into it. Ever thought of adding more detail to it? Such as more weapon types or actors.

Panda, hmmm... Personally what I do is, I always copy the coalition folder and make a mod with that. Little by little I'll morph things from vanilla content into my own design. It's much easier that way then to make everything from scratch. Click here for a page that has mostly everything there is to modding [forums.datarealms.com] I also strongly suggest you get notepad++ or some code editing program. Just stick with the basics before trying lua. And always ask permision before using someones stuff or code. Good luck if you try. It's easy once you can read .ini lines.

Whipped up in about a week? I haven't played with em yet, but just the screen shots show an excellent amount of diligence. I see new weapons, actors and craft, including pixel art that looks professional. I'm excited to see how they behave.

Probably my main requests for this would be to add the faction's own grenades, give the hovertank a better sound effect for its autocannon thing, and make a sniper weapon of some sort, not necessarily in that order.

i can see using these guys as a faction in campaign. they're unique but seem to fit in, and don't feel too overpowered to me. haven't paid attention to the pricing, though

I guess so! I'm kind of the same way with playing games, the one that I never get bored with is cortex command, keep up the good work, I really respect you and one day I hope to be able to mod as well as you can.

PS. there's no feeling of recoil with the guns besides the rocket launchers, is this intentional?
