Would love to see TSL mod support for your civs. Definitely unique North American civs.

Hey, a I had someone suggest to me something called the 'west Florida republic'. Honestly not something I'm interested in, but I thought it might be up your alley with all these US cultural civs.

I figured it might have been is it possible to let you choose whether it goes in a ring shout or not? and ya I almost finished the game Im playing as them I cant become host even though I have 24 votes vs Frances 14 luckily I was going for a culture win anyway. hopefully you can find the issue (if it is this mod)

The not moving music from ring shout slots was intentional, although I might consider altering that. Not sure what's going on with the world leader thing though. I'll run a playthrough and see if anything happens.

I cant seem to move music from ring shout slots, which ended up being a bummer when I built Broadway. And I also cant seem to become the host of the UN for some reason not sure if thats this mod but the only other mods I have on are events and decisions, more luxuries, more pantheons and Ethnic Units, dont think any of those would cause that.

kinda sucks that a civ focused on musicians and musical heritage, doesn't have peace and war themes, I've been using tracks out of the Assassins Creed: Freedom Cry soundtrack in my game Im playing as them right now. Don't know if that is similar at all to What Gullah music is actually like but it works for me. anyway the early tourism is pretty strong, not sure if I'd say OP but I am liking it so far.

No. Not a big issue... mods compatibility is so tricky... I'll retried again with updated prehistoric version... I did try 17....
Mr. X  [author] 4 Sep, 2015 @ 2:18pm
That's weird, but I'm not sure what could have possibly caused that. I know the prehistoric mod was pretty buggy on its own. Do you have logging enabled? Maybe that could point to the root of the problem.

I tried it with prehistoric mod since it gives bonuses to unimproved tiles. It is great, but I got a bug after 150 turns when accessing agriculture...
Mr. X  [author] 4 Sep, 2015 @ 12:58pm
Yes, code-wise pantheons count as religions.

I got the ring shout with only a pantheon..

I like the idea, but have you played Kramer's Texas mod?
donlad 28 Aug, 2015 @ 8:59pm
Just thought of something, how about an Old West civilization? It basicly makes itself. Capital in Dodge City, Gunslingers as a unit, a Corral or Saloon as a building, and a trait related to horses and cattle.

@Octoski

Thanks for the response, that's informative.
Mr. X  [author] 19 Aug, 2015 @ 3:40pm
Nah, no Piety and Prestige compatability yet. I started a more demanding job recently and haven't had as much spare time to mod, but if I get a chance I'd like to go back and do all sorts of stuff like that.
Pensezforte 19 Aug, 2015 @ 10:34am
I may have asked already, but are these compatible with Piety & Prestige?
Mr. X  [author] 1 Aug, 2015 @ 11:06am
Thanks! I added it to the description.

Just wrapped up 5 hours of gameplay broadcast on twitch.tv. You can view them here: http://www.twitch.tv/firehazardstudios
Will post all 8 episodes to my you tube this weekend. Thank you Octoski for another amazing mod.

This is a very intresting idea! I like it. I agree with Darkanine that there should be an Amish civ, and mabey a few other small groups not yet recognized by modders (Seminoles, Sentinelese) just for diversity.
donlad 27 Jul, 2015 @ 1:26pm
A interesting name for the Amish that you can use is Deitscherei, which is the Pennslyvanian German name for the Pennsylvania Dutch Country. I figure it would work better and sound better than just "the Amish".
alpha2117 26 Jul, 2015 @ 11:19pm
The Amish would be tough to balance right. maybe something like this

UA - Farms give + 1 Culture, + 1 Faith. All military units get pacifist promotion - 20% attack + 10% defence

UB - Barnraising - repalces University - gives +1 Faith + 1 Food no science.

UU: replaces - replaces the Inquisitor - Can be used to remove other religions 3 times.

So you've got a society that produces lots of faith and culture to resist tourism but is going to struggle to win a domination or science game.

Mr. X  [author] 25 Jul, 2015 @ 7:16pm
Thanks Darkanine. Next up is New England, and then I have a big project for the Ozarks planned. Amish are something I've considered in the past, so maybe a civ that gets big benefits from Faith, but loses them from Technology?
amelia 25 Jul, 2015 @ 3:28pm
That obvious drawback aside, I'd be very interested in an Amish civ.

Anyway, I love this mod. I'm interested in Gulla culture and it fits my playlist quite well.
RJ 25 Jul, 2015 @ 1:57pm
@Octsoski

Ha, yeah, but it's not like civ is always that realistic is it :P
Mr. X  [author] 25 Jul, 2015 @ 10:27am
Yeah but how the heck does science work after the Renaissance?
RJ 25 Jul, 2015 @ 9:31am
I'd like to see you do an Amish civ at one point, food and faith would be the focus I imagine
