The game was good, the only problem is that when you go backwards at the start of a level, you go to the previous level, making you go through that level again.

Its a fun game. My only real issue is when you go back to another room, you start at the very beginning of it. This can be fixed by using a varible to check if you completed ther oom.

You are so lucky, the max plays I have gotten on workshop is 3, it strange because everyone I know is getting these really succesful (workshop success) apart from me... this is getting strange

Please Read this comment if you are interested in the development of the game:

- I'm taking this into private development until v1.0 , although I love the comments and feedback people have given it's made me change some things in the game which I wouldnt neccessarily do if people didn't comment. Although people will say things like "BUT THE COMMUNITY IS THE ONLY WAY TO IMPROVE" I wont listen because this game will turn into something that I feel isnt my game but some randomers... This version will keep on the workshop, feel free to play it but unless you are a member of the dev team your comments arn't valid to me... This will be very controversial and bring some haters but its how I feel the game can progress how I want it.

Well i found a new bug/problem in this game . When im gonna go to left location i spawn in the top left . I dont like new graphics . And make when we died from enemy/spikes play sound dying or like that.

Some platformers (mario e.c) make history, overs make steam Wokrshop (boxz), they both run smoothley, they both have pixel perfect (almost) colision systems, and they are both AWESOME. So how come a steam Workshop GameMaker project only gets a rating of 3 less (from me) as most Mario games in its Alpha stage. But then again thats none of my buisness (They are both awesome BTW)

Alpha V0.6 Update Notes:
- Added Enemies
- BRAND NEW GRAPHICS :D (WHOLE REVAMP <3)
- New Level
- Although it seems nothing has changed, adding new graphics and enemies has been a lot of work so show some love ;) <3
- Slight Collision Improvement on spikes

I guess, yeah, this is a place to release test games, but I seem to be treating the workshop more as the old yoyogames website (now the sandbox), and as such, it just seems weird to me to see so many unfinished games on here. But honestly, the fact that your first game is a platformer
is great. When I first started out, I couldn't follow the platformer tutorial to save my life. I do hope to see this game progress!

Reply to BeamKirby: The comments you made were completely valid and I do accept them and are taking them on board, the first point you made abuot it being a test is partially true at the moment. I'm testing out features and am looking for responces: You are giving great ones ;)... In future updates collisions, level design, movement and new things will be added but since this is my first game I am learning along the way. So that solves the issues u pointed out until the final one: "a game like this really shouldn't be released until there's some more depth added" now, this is the steam worskshop and how I see the worshop is a place to test games .... not release. I wouldnt say this game is released because Its not on anything such as greenlight or gamejolt. I see this game as nowhere near release but comments like yours are the reason I put it on workshop becuase I have no prior experrience to work off of to improve games. Ty for your comments and they are taken on board :)

Reply to virn: lol this wsnt actually done by a "Shaun GM tutorial" (idek who shaun is?) Anyway enemies are in the next update and yea more features are coming, it is a first game so yes I admit that I sued some tutorials, but not all of it was done by tutorial.

(Part 2 of 2) Couple other things: the spikes should have precise collision checking turned on--
it's unnatural to have a collision "box" for a triangle. Also, the player should be able to control
their jumps. An easy way to do this is if the player releases the jump button, check if the player's
vspeed is less than zero (to indicate that the player is moving up), and if so, divide the player's
vspeed by 2. But the main problem I see here is the level design. It really does look like you just
stuck a bunch of blocks and spikes in the room and said, "that's good!" Of course, part of that
problem is the lack of threats and intricate platforms, as I mentioned above. I'm sorry if I sound
like a jerk, but a game like this really shouldn't be released until there's some more depth added
to it. I do have to say though, I love the music.

(Part 1 of 2) I'm going to give some harsh criticizm here: this is not a game. Rather, it looks more
like a platforming and collision test. There are a couple of things I want to point out. First off,
there is barely any threat. I realize you want this to be a casual platformer, but even a casual
game has some sort of challenge to it. It's a game called BoXZ, maybe you could add boxes you
can push around. But there really should be enemies and dynamic platforms, such as ones that
move or fall down. Another thing, the deaths are very boring. You really shouldn't make it so that
when you collide with something deadly you just restart the room, and that's it. It'd be better
to have a death animation, or something that makes the player realize that he/she died, as instantly restarting the room doesn't make you feel as if you just died.

Poeple who watched some Shaun GM Tutorials. Nothing special. For me. If u can add more things in game like jumping platforms, enemis or other things without tutorials how to do it. :steambored:

Honestly, It's fun, sometimes the controls seem a bit janky but then again, It's an alpha, yes It does have things that would be unexeptable in different platformers but It's hard to be angry with such a happy block man (7/10)

Thanks :) We recently got a better pixel artist (I was just doing the art before) so graphicly things will improve, currently the music we have is filling in while we wait for our music guy to finish a song for the game ;D
